True to Tony Moly's gel eyeliner reputation, it doesn't smudge at all. Of course, it may vary from person to person, but the best part is that even if you apply it directly on foundation without any primer, it absolutely won't budge. It glides on smoothly when applying, so the texture feels great too.
The fact that it doesn't smudge can also be a drawback. For eyeliner beginners, if you make a mistake while drawing the line, it's hard to correct unless you use a cotton swab with makeup remover or eye makeup remover. If you're new to eyeliner, you might need quite a bit of practice.
1. Gel eyeliners harden faster the longer they're exposed to air. They start solidifying from the edges and work their way inward. I've seen some people say this product or other gel eyeliners only last them one to three months, but I've been using mine well for over six months. The trick is to take out only as much as you need and store the container upside down to minimize air exposure. This helps reduce hardening. 2. Wondering where to put the small amount you need? When you first open the eyeliner, twist off the cap, and you'll find a white lid. I use this white lid to scoop out a little bit each day. If there's any leftover, I can use it next time, and it's super easy to control how much goes on the brush. 3. There's a brush that comes with the eyeliner! As you use it, this brush can harden along with the eyeliner. If you ignore this and keep using it, it can really irritate your eyes. It becomes stiff and can scratch. When this happens, put a tiny bit of eye makeup remover on a cotton pad, wrap it around the brush, wait a bit, then wipe it clean. It'll be as good as new - clean and soft again.
