This cleansing oil has a very light, watery texture. It's fragrance-free, lightweight, and gentle on the skin. I tested its makeup removal power on the back of my hand with various products like waterproof brush pen eyeliner, highlighter, and pencil eyeliner. Due to its thin consistency, it tends to run when applied directly, so it's best to use an appropriate amount. The lightweight formula doesn't feel heavy on the face. It emulsifies and breaks down makeup easily - just rolling it gently dissolves everything, including glitter and waterproof products. After emulsification, even heavy eye and lip makeup disappears completely. Mascara and eyeliner come off effortlessly, though it might be a bit harsh for removing lip stains. The cleansing process is gentle and non-irritating. It rinses off cleanly with just water. As someone with combination-dehydrated skin, I usually double cleanse, but even with a mild foam cleanser afterwards, my skin feels fresh and clean. Post-cleanse, my skin doesn't feel particularly dry or tight. I deliberately didn't apply hand cream after the hand test, and my skin still feels moisturized and soft. Among the various cleansing oils I've used, this is the thinnest and lightest. I appreciate its fragrance-free formula and excellent cleansing effectiveness. The only slight drawback might be the smaller quantity, as some product can be lost due to its runny texture. I'm currently using Beplain's Mung Bean Serum as a pore treatment, and I think it would be great to buy this cleansing oil when it's on sale as a set. The entire Mung Bean line seems to be a winner!
The thin, runny texture means some product can be wasted when pumping, which is a shame given the quantity.
Many of you probably know the tip of massaging blackheads to dissolve sebum and then wiping with a cotton swab. The Mung Bean line seems particularly effective for pores. Using the Mung Bean Pore Serum after cleansing is especially beneficial. To avoid product waste when pumping the oil, try pressing the pump only 2/3 of the way down instead of fully. This helps control the amount and prevents splashing.
