I kept seeing ads for this on YouTube, so I decided to take a chance and buy it. Honestly, it exceeded my expectations in every way! The moment I applied it to my face, I felt the hydration. It adhered to my skin with a perfect, elastic texture, spreading incredibly thinly and lightly without settling into fine lines. It blended seamlessly, looking just like my natural complexion with no visible edges. The glow it gave was absolutely beautiful too. What really surprised me was that it doesn't transfer at all! The Sulwhasoo developers must be geniuses! Usually, other brightening moisturizers feel sticky, making my hair stick to my face. They also break down when I sweat and come off easily with the slightest touch. But this cushion? None of that at all! It goes on moisturizing at first, but over time it sets to a semi-matte finish that clings to the skin without any uncomfortable feeling. My hair doesn't stick to it either. I don't regret spending a single penny on this. Now I understand why moms always rave about Sulwhasoo. You really can't understand what I mean until you try it yourself. It's incomparable to other cushions. I've tried all the highly-rated ones, but Sulwhasoo is truly top-tier. One tip when purchasing: buy one shade lighter than you think you need. I saw many reviews saying it was too dark, so I went one shade up and it matched perfectly! I wanted to mention some downsides, but I'm sorry, there simply aren't any. Everything about it was absolute perfection. I'm being completely honest. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 29, 2025
It's worth the price! It goes on more moisturizing than expected and spreads well with just a small amount. The coverage is good, and it has decent staying power and adherence. The shade came out much darker than expected. I have about a #22 complexion, but I need to use #17 to match my skin tone (it doesn't brighten though). I strongly recommend testing the shades before purchasing. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinMar 8, 2025
It sits lightly on the skin. It can cover mild discoloration. The texture is moisturizing and spreads thinly. It's challenging to cover dark blemishes. There aren't any major drawbacks. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopy SkinFeb 13, 2025
Good coverage and moisturizing, though the color is a bit dark. I'd recommend choosing two shades lighter. I had to stop using it after just one application because it immediately caused blemishes. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJan 3, 2025
This cushion adheres to the skin thinly and naturally, with excellent coverage. It evens out skin texture without feeling heavy, allowing for a natural skin appearance. With medium coverage, it effectively conceals blemishes and redness, while brightening the complexion evenly. The moisturizing feel prevents dryness, keeping the skin hydrated and glowing for a long time. The cushion's texture is very smooth and adheres well to the skin, maintaining its finish even on warmer days without breaking down. The luxurious packaging and overall experience were also satisfying. Due to its very hydrating formula, it might feel a bit heavy for oily skin types. Especially in summer, it can feel rich or greasy, necessitating the extra step of applying setting powder. Additionally, the cushion tends to wear out rather quickly, which means more frequent replacements are needed, which is a bit of a drawback. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 4, 2024
It perfectly meets my needs. Applies thinly, adheres well, and brightens my complexion effectively. The staying power is fantastic. I switched to this from Dior cushion because it was too expensive, and the feel is similar. This one seems a bit more hydrating and gives a slightly dewy finish. Not recommended if you're looking for full coverage. Thin cushions like this naturally don't provide perfect coverage. Apply your skincare well beforehand. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 29, 2024
It feels wonderfully moisturizing! I absolutely recommend it! I didn't find any downsides. Though it would be nice if the packaging was a bit more sophisticated. - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 7, 2022
As someone with dry skin, I loved how moisturizing and easy to apply this was. The coverage was more satisfying than I expected, and what I appreciated most was how thinly it could be applied, allowing for easy layering without feeling heavy. Price-wise, it's quite accessible - you can easily snag it for around $40 when it's on sale. I initially wanted shade 21, but it was sold out, so I went for 17. Thankfully, it wasn't too light, which was great! The case tends to collect fingerprints easily, making it look dirty quite quickly.
