When applied close to the eyes, it causes a tolerable (?) stinging sensation and makes vision blurry if it gets in the eyes. Also, the amount is so large that if you're only using it around the eyes, it feels like it never decreases, which can be tedious. Lastly, I'm disappointed that I didn't see any functional effects.
