1. I bought this eyeshadow as an eyeliner alternative. It doesn't smudge and I love it. 2. It's a deep brown shade that complements cool skin tones beautifully. 1. There's some excess powder, but it's manageable if you use a small amount. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAug 14, 2020
The color of this product is a deep brown that I personally haven't seen much of. It's so dark that it's almost black. I mainly used it to create a shadow effect at the corners of my eyes and sometimes to draw the tail of my eyeliner. Having such a deep shade in your collection can be quite useful! Unfortunately, I noticed a slight clumping issue, which is a bit disappointing. Especially with such a dark color, any clumping can look like unsightly smudges. I'd recommend applying it very carefully. If you use an eyeliner brush to apply this product and draw the tail of your eye, you can easily create beautiful eye corners. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 27, 2019
There's minimal excess powder, and the color is a dark brown with a hint of red bean, which looks absolutely gorgeous!! The pigmentation is fantastic too. It's exactly the eyeshadow I've been wanting to buy. The eyeshadow pan is quite tiny... Of course, you only need space for your finger or a small brush to touch it, so it doesn't need to be huge. But when I placed it next to a Bbia eyeshadow, I noticed it's taller but narrower. The volume might be similar though. After curling your lashes really well with an eyelash curler and applying mascara, just swipe this on your eyelids a couple of times and it looks absolutely stunning. It's totally my style. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 13, 2017
The color is beautiful! It's a dark brown shade that everyone should have at least one of. It really smudges a lot... The color is so deep that I used it as an eyeliner substitute, but it ended up smearing like a panda's eyes. I used it for a few days but I won't be using it again. I recommend this to those without oily skin around the eyes! It's a good product for naturally drawing eyeliner, but the downside is that it smudges too much. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 5, 2017
✔Color The color is a deep shade that does not betray the original (though it's not quite cocoa powder... more like coating a dark brown crayon in black? Not completely black, but more of a grayish-brown) (+Addition) 2017.04.19 ✔It works great as an eyebrow cake! Just lightly dab it on with a brush once or twice and it's perfect for uncolored hair. For the same reason, it would also be good to use as a hair powder?-like product (But you'll need to be careful not to end up looking like Crayon Shin-chan.) ✖Intense Color I chose this thinking I'd use it in the lower triangle area, but it's too black and hollow... It's also a bit too much for applying on the eyelids. Unintentionally, I ended up getting an eyeliner for a cheap 1+1 deal... 😢 But since it's a shadow, the sharpness and definition is... Hwahae Trial Reviewers may be able to use it in various ways, but as a beauty beginner like me, the most I can do is roughly draw it on the crease when going out lightly. ✖Lots of Fallout I know mono eyeshadows usually have some fallout and shimmer, but the color is so intense that it's even more noticeable!!! (If it falls on the carefully done base... 🚫) I'm not sure if it's just because of the fallout, but my eyes also feel a bit itchy... ✖Uneven Application It doesn't apply evenly, so I have to keep layering it, and then the powder keeps falling off... ❗(Not sure if it's the renewed version) but the mono eyeshadows fit perfectly in the 7-compartment cases from Daiso (₩1,000)!! Seriously, it's a perfect fit! I had heard a lot of rumors about the cases, and hesitated to buy a communal one in case it broke and my heart broke too, but Daiso♥♥ The opening and closing is a bit stiff, but other than that, it's all good (makes a creaking sound). ↪If you stick the eyeshadow on with tape (I use masking tape), it's super easy to check the color. ❗It goes well with any eyeshadow, just like an eyeliner combo (laugh or not?) But it pairs especially nicely with the brown pearl and yellowy brown shades! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJan 30, 2017
If I had to leave just one eyeshadow behind, I would unhesitatingly choose this one...!!!! It's a deep grayish-brown with a reddish tint, but when applied to the eyes, the color appears so deep that the reddish tone is barely noticeable - it just looks like a rich, deep brown. It's great for blending eyeliner, using for smoky eye makeup, applying as an eyeliner substitute, and even for filling in eyebrows with the right color intensity. It's just the best!! Out of all the eyeshadows I own, this one takes the cake in terms of pigmentation. If it were to be discontinued, I would send a complaint email to Etude House every single day! Powdery. It's quite powdery in addition to being a very deep color, so... If it falls onto the carefully applied base makeup... I'll leave the rest to your imagination. A versatile gem. It also suits my warm-toned skin very well. For my skin tone that straddles the line between spring and fall warmth, chocolatey shades like Etude House's 200-Year-Old Chocolate Shop and Mono Eyes Chocolate Wish have worked beautifully. I'd recommend it to cool-toned folks to use alongside Mono Eyes Steal Away. However, if you use this to fill in your entire eyebrows, you might end up looking a bit like a chocolate raisin... (It's not a 'might' as much as a '90% chance' - the pigmentation is just that intense) Apply a lighter eyeshadow to the front and middle parts of your brows, and use this one only to sharply define the tails for a sleek, charismatic brow look!
