Pros

I received this as a freebie from another store. It's a shame the packaging has changed and it might be discontinued... 😢 True to its name 'Hug Velvet Tint', it adheres softly to the lips. The case has a smooth grip, and I love the applicator tip. The scent is sweet with a slight alcohol note, which might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I love it! I got the shade N4, which would be a great choice for those with neutral cool tones. It's versatile enough to use as a base anywhere, and it looks beautiful when applied fully. Personally, I prefer this over 3** (I usually buy about 5 lipsticks at a time). I tend to focus on product quality and color rather than brand. For a velvet formula, it's surprisingly moisturizing with good staying power. Other velvet formulas I've tried tend to feel more oily and slippery. It has a similar texture to 3**, which I often used for gradient lips, but this one is less drying. I would have repurchased it if it wasn't discontinued... I have dry lips, so other velvet products often made my lips hurt and I didn't reach for them often. But the color of this one is what I love most. As the name suggests, it really does hug your lips softly like velvet. The case has a nice grip, and I'm a fan of the applicator tip too.
