Pros[Etude House 99% Aloe Soothing Gel]
This is a review of the aloe soothing gel that I purchased after trying various products to find the one that suits me best.
(From 2015 to 2017, I used the following aloe soothing gels:
1. Etude House Aloe Soothing Gel (2 bottles)
2. Holika Holika Aloe Soothing Gel (1 bottle)
3. Innisfree Aloe Soothing Gel (1 bottle)
4. Izzandtree Aloe Soothing Gel (2 bottles, bought as a 1+1 deal)
5. Aromatica Aloe Soothing Gel
In my personal experience, they are listed in order from best to worst.)
*Texture & Usage
: It has a basic soothing gel texture, which is bouncy and lightweight.
*How to Use
: I keep it in the refrigerator and use it as a cooling pack. I also use it for the 2-week soothing method (2 weeks of soothing with aloe, followed by 2 weeks of whitening to manage pigmentation) when I have breakouts or irritation. Since it's a gentle product, I can use the aloe pack daily during the soothing period.
*Effectiveness
: This product has been the most effective for me during the 2-week soothing method! As I prioritize managing pigmentation, I prefer products with aloe vera extract over just aloe vera juice, and this one has the lowest irritant ingredients among the aloe products I've tried. It's the perfect product for me!
Cons*Price
: It's a bit more expensive compared to other aloe soothing gels, but the effectiveness is so great that I don't mind the price.
TipI highly recommend trying the 2-week soothing method! You can use it with aloe or other soothing products.
I've heard that aloe vera extract is effective for preventing pigmentation, while aloe vera juice is more effective for soothing. Don't dismiss aloe vera extract just because it's not aloe vera juice, and vice versa. Choose the ingredient that works best for your skin!
