My skin is thin and prone to inflammatory blemishes like pimples, so I've tried a wide variety of moisturizers. In conclusion, I'm satisfied with this product! I've long heard that Isoi products have great ingredients, and their confidence in disclosing the full ingredient list made it even more trustworthy. This moisturizer has a transparent texture with a light feel, and I was amazed by its hydrating formula that absorbs well without pilling. Usually, I don't prefer gel creams because they feel sticky and pill later, despite being moisturizing at first. On the other hand, heavy ointment-like creams feel suffocating and weigh down my skin. It was hard to find a middle ground, but this product has a light texture that doesn't sit on top of the skin. Instead, it absorbs quickly, maintaining hydration with an excellent feel. With the dry spring weather lately, I've been paying extra attention to skincare, and this seems just right! It might need a bit more hydration in the dead of winter, but I'm very~ satisfied. In the past, Isoi brand products were relatively pricier compared to others, which was a bit burdensome. But looking into it this time, I noticed they offer many discounts, and the price range seems quite reasonable!
ConsIt has a very strong citrus scent! It's like that tangy, slightly bitter citrus smell of orange peel. Those who don't like this scent might find it difficult to use. The small stick spatula that comes with it doesn't have a way to secure it, so it might be easy to lose. The inner seal is extremely thin, making it difficult to grab and remove.

I'm so glad I found this cream! It absorbs quickly and tackles deep dryness. With other moisturizers, I never felt truly hydrated deep down, and over time my skin would get oily and tight. But since using the Jang Soo Jin cream, my skin feels so comfortable. It truly lives up to its claims of improving the skin barrier, hydrating, and soothing all at once. I was skeptical at first, but it works so well for me that I'll definitely keep repurchasing it.
ConsThere's not really anything to complain about, but if I had to pick something, I'd say the scent isn't great by my standards. Of course, the smell does fade after a while, but it's a kind of herbal scent? Anyway, it's an artificial fragrance that I'm not fond of.
TipWhen I use the Mediheal Madecassoside Pad, followed by Bioderma Hydrabio Essence Emulsion, then Round Lab Pine Calming Serum, and finish with the Jang Soo Jin cream, my skin feels firm and comfortable.

Long-lasting hydration I thought the gel texture wouldn't keep my skin moisturized for long, but when I apply it at night, the hydration lasts until the next morning! As someone with dry, red cheeks in colder seasons, I'm quite picky about moisture, but this exceeded my expectations in both hydration and lasting power! 2. Fresh yet bouncy texture While it looks like a water gel, it feels surprisingly elastic when applied. It's different from typical water gels that absorb completely, leaving almost nothing on the surface! Yet it's distinctly different from rich, nourishing creams too! It has a unique texture that's both fresh and bouncy, which seems to contribute to its excellent moisture retention. 3. Gentle on sensitive skin Lately, my skin has been periodically flaring up (stinging and redness), but since this cream focuses on barrier hydration and soothing with good ingredients, I can apply it comfortably even during these flare-ups. While it doesn't provide instant relief, after a few days of use, the redness and stinging subside.
Cons1. Personally inconvenient spatula It comes with a thin, long spatula which I found personally inconvenient! It tends to drop easily, and having to store it separately was a bit of a hassle. 2. Scent It has a slightly green citrus-like scent. While the fragrance itself is pleasant, it somehow reminds me of kitchen dish soap...

I've always wanted to try it, so I'm glad I got the chance to use it this time. The gel-cream texture was perfect for me since I don't like heavy formulas. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I found it lightweight yet hydrating. One application was enough to prevent any deep dryness. My skin tends to be super sensitive during the transition from fall to winter. During that time, I'd recommend applying it once as is, and then a second time with 3 drops of jojoba oil mixed in for extra nourishment. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys gel-cream textures.
ConsThe scent is a bit odd - it reminds me of rubber clay or something you might smell in a stationery store.
TipTry mixing in some jojoba oil during seasonal changes for extra moisture!

I really liked the texture and how it absorbs! ➡️ Advantages: I have combination dehydrated skin with severe deep dryness. Perhaps because it's a moisturizing cream, I felt it effectively addressed my deep dryness! Personally, I tend to feel very uncomfortable with thick textures, but this product didn't feel heavy while still providing hydration. When I wear makeup, it usually flakes around my nose and mouth. However, when I applied a small amount of this before makeup, my skin looked better and there seemed to be less dead skin cells. In cold winters, my face often feels hot after washing with warm water, but I felt a cooling sensation when applying this product.
Cons➡️ Disadvantages: I saw other reviews mentioning that the scent is subtle and wouldn't be polarizing, but personally, I found the fragrance unpleasant. It's hard to describe precisely, but it reminded me of old cosmetics. While it provides good hydration, I had a slight feeling that it sat on top of my skin. It didn't feel heavy, but... I'm listing this as a con, though it's a bit ambiguous whether it's deeply moisturizing or just sitting on the surface. ➡️ Brief Overall Review: If asked about repurchasing, I'd say I'm unsure. It's just okay. However, I'd recommend it to those who aren't sensitive to fragrances and prioritize addressing deep dryness!

Even in the dead of winter, it keeps my face from feeling tight or dry. While it's a bit on the pricier side, the effectiveness of this Isoi product makes it worth every penny.
ConsThere's barely any scent, but I detect a faint, oddly artificial fragrance reminiscent of a factory. Interestingly, others around me don't seem to notice it.

I've been curious about it since my Olive Young part-time job days, when it was known as the 'Jang Soo-jin cream'. It claimed to do it all - strengthen skin barrier, hydrate, and soothe. I was hesitant to try it due to my acne-prone skin, so I initially stuck to ISOI's emergency line. But now, as part of the Hwahae Testers, I've given it a go and it seems to work well even for acne-prone skin! I think ISOI products generally suit me well, as I loved their emergency line too. Surprisingly, this cream seems to help calm my blemishes. Since I started using it, many people have commented that my skin looks better! Despite having oily skin, I appreciate that the texture isn't too heavy. I usually avoid creams because they tend to be sticky, which led to more blemishes due to dryness. But this one isn't sticky at all - it's perfect!
ConsThere's not much to dislike, honestly. The only thing is the scent, which I'm not a fan of. I prefer either unscented products or those with a basic cosmetic smell. This one has a somewhat artificial fragrance that I don't particularly enjoy. It's hard to describe - kind of sour? The scent can be a bit bothersome when I'm trying to sleep at night. But this is just because I'm extremely sensitive to fragrances, so it might not be an issue for most people!
TipI think using this along with other ISOI products creates a great synergy! While mixing brands can be good, using products with similar ingredients might be less irritating for those with sensitive skin. That's my little beauty tip, for what it's worth!

My skin type is combination dehydrated with a few small blemishes and super sensitive skin. 1. Cools skin temperature: I felt a refreshing sensation when applying it. My skin is quite sensitive and usually breaks out with irritating products, but this one was fine despite being slightly warming. 2. Pleasantly light texture: Being a hydrating cream, the texture is just right - not too heavy or too light. Even in winter, balm-type creams can feel suffocating for oily or combination dehydrated skin, but this product strikes a good balance. 3. Skin hydration: It moisturizes well. When I wake up in the morning, my skin doesn't feel dry, and it provides just the right amount of oil for combination dehydrated skin.
Cons1. Scent: There's a slight alcohol-like smell. It's reminiscent of a pleasant disinfectant scent. You really have to pay attention to notice it, so it didn't bother me during use, but it's there. 2. Absorption issues: After applying toner and serum, I applied this cream, but it felt like it was sitting on top of the skin rather than absorbing deeply. It took about 5 minutes for the surface feeling to disappear.
TipI highly recommend this for those with skin that tends to feel hot. This product didn't dramatically improve my skin, but it's a solid choice for those looking for a decent hydrating cream. However, I don't recommend it as a pre-makeup moisturizer for oily or combination dehydrated skin types. After toner and serum, using this cream might make your makeup look patchy. It's more suitable for those with dry skin.

I'm generally a fan of ISOI products, so I had high expectations when trying this out. Absorption: True to its focus on hydration and moisture, this cream absorbs beautifully! However, there's a slight stickiness and rich feeling right after application, so those with oily skin or T-zone issues might want to apply it very thinly in those areas. Moisturizing power: Given it's winter, I often find myself feeling dry even after layering multiple products. I've been applying thicker layers of my skincare, but with this cream, I'm satisfied using just one layer! My skin doesn't feel dry or tight at all. Ingredients: ISOI is a brand I trust, and I'm really pleased with the ingredients in this. It's gentle enough for sensitive skin, and when applied to blemishes, it actually has a soothing effect, which is fantastic!
ConsScent: The fragrance is more artificial and herbal than I expected, which might be a hit or miss for some people. For me, it felt a bit heavy when applying makeup in the morning, occasionally causing some pilling, which was slightly disappointing. However, when used as a sleeping pack at night, my skin feels incredibly moisturized when I wake up and cleanse in the morning!
TipWorks great as a sleeping pack

You can layer it two or three times without any pilling, leaving your skin feeling hydrated. Its light texture combined with intense moisture means I reach for it often, without worrying about it interfering with my makeup.
ConsI was surprised by the scent when I first applied it - it reminded me a bit of dish soap? But I quickly got used to it, and seeing how well it hydrates my skin makes me keep coming back to it, despite the initial fragrance!
TipIf you apply it two or three times before bed like an overnight mask, you'll wake up to moisturized skin! Even after cleansing in the morning, I noticed a slight glow. Instead of applying a lot at once, try layering it gradually as it absorbs. You'll see the Inner Glow building up beautifully.
