Skin type: Combination dehydrated
My T-zone and butterfly zone tend to get oily, while my cheeks experience deep dryness and severe redness.
When my skin lacks hydration, I'm prone to small blemishes. When I do get acne, it's usually large and inflamed.
If my oil and moisture balance is disrupted, I experience both internal dryness and excess oil production.
Ingredients that work well for me: Green tea, Centella Asiatica, Hyaluronic acid
Ingredients that don't work well: Houttuynia Cordata, Mugwort, Propolis (honey)
💚 Soothing effect
I've been loving the Dewytree Green Calming mask pack, so I decided to try their toner pads too.
As you can see from the before and after photos, the soothing effect is incredible.
💚 Gentle and moisturizing
💚 Generous amount of essence and non-irritating pads
💚 Convenient and hygienic case with tongs for storage
💚 Large-sized toner pads
There are absolutely no downsides!
The Dewytree mask pack and toner pads are my holy grail..♥
When it comes to blemish care, I believe the most important factors are understanding the cause and type of blemishes!
Personally, I tend to get small blemishes when my skin lacks hydration.
On days when I notice a bumpy texture all over:
💙 I go for a hydration overload with hydrating mask packs, toners, essences, and moisturizers. This usually calms things down in a few days.
However, on days when I get inflamed, hard, sebum-filled acne like in the attached photo (which usually happens when I consume a lot of dairy or during my menstrual cycle), I follow these steps:
💚 Use blemish-specific mask packs or toner pads to reduce heat and soothe the skin
💚 Apply and let a spot treatment absorb
💚 Follow with essence or serum & moisturizer (use half the usual amount)
-> These don't necessarily need to be blemish-specific products; regular hydrating lines work too!
💚 Finish by layering on a thick layer of spot treatment
This is my step-by-step management routine!
