It's wonderfully hydrating! You can really feel it replenishing your skin's moisture deep down. This is an excellent hydrating toner for oily or combination dehydrated skin, perfect for use from the changing seasons through winter. It's not completely watery, but rather like water with a subtle weight to it? It doesn't have a viscous texture though. I'd say it's like water with a slightly higher density. It doesn't immediately absorb and refresh upon application, but rather sinks in gradually with a sense of substance. At first, it feels a bit slippery, but once fully absorbed, only a moisturized feeling remains. The hydration doesn't evaporate quickly, making it great for dry weather without that parched feeling. While it might not provide enough oil and moisture balance for dry skin, it offers ideal hydration for combination dehydrated or oily skin during seasonal transitions.
The absorption isn't particularly quick. You need to pat it in repeatedly. It should be fine when used as an exfoliating toner with a cotton pad. However, applying it with your hands provides more hydration than using it as an exfoliating toner. I think this toner's strengths are more apparent when used for hydration rather than exfoliation. I don't really notice it being effective at removing excess sebum or dead skin cells. Other toners that are good at removing sebum and dead skin cells usually show visible results on the cotton pad and leave a refreshed feeling, but this isn't that type of invigorating toner. Other than that, it's a good, solid toner without any significant drawbacks.
If you have oily skin, it might feel a bit heavy during summer. It's almost enough to use on its own without other products? For combination dehydrated skin, you could probably get away with just this toner and a light serum in summer.
