The 'Delicate Portulaca' shade is a pink-coral-beige with a hint of white, but it doesn't look chalky on the lips at all. After application, the white undertone settles and a subtle redness emerges. I was surprised that Black Rouge, known for their vibrant and deep colors, could create such a soft and beautiful pink-coral-beige... I really hope those with deeper undertones give this a try! As someone who tends to look less sophisticated with layered colors, I found 'Delicate Portulaca' perfect on its own. However, if you use it as a base and layer a darker shade in the center, it creates a gorgeous, soft gradient effect!
ConsTo be honest, at first I found this formula a bit more challenging to apply than the original Cream Matt Rouge. It has a texture like cream cheese that's lost all its moisture, which can feel a bit clumpy. I was skeptical at first, but I found that applying small amounts gradually and spreading slowly allows it to adhere to the lips with a soft, powdery finish. While it has good staying power, the texture makes it a bit tricky for quick touch-ups on the go.
TipThe actual shade has slightly less redness than what appears in photos!
