Color: The shade is completely different from the image registered here on Hwahae. It's not as vibrant or white-based as the official website swatches, but the color itself is a slightly toned-down orange with quite a bit of saturation. It applies somewhat darkly on bare lips, so to achieve the color shown on the official site or Instagram reviews, you need to neutralize your lip color with concealer or a nude base lip product first. (I tried it over concealer, and it comes out as a delicate tangerine orange color. The color is so pretty!) It also applies with a light feel when applied thinly on lips without any base. As my face tends to look disjointed when colors are too warm or highly saturated, this wasn't a perfect match for me. While not the absolute best, the saturation level was manageable enough, and I liked the color, so I kept it. 'Fragile Portulaca' suited me better. On bare lips, it appears as a moderately toned-down pink-brown-beige color? The saturation is just right, but the brightness is a bit low, so there were signs of a face-lip separation effect due to the darkness this time. After applying concealer and then the lip product, it revealed its true charm, becoming the delicate spring flower-like color I wanted... It's really beautiful and doesn't feel like a common color. Texture: They advertised it as having a cream cheese-like texture, which admittedly influenced my purchase decision. When you first twist up the applicator, you can see the tint formula through the transparent part of the case, and it really has a unique feel like slightly firm gelato or cookie dough, which I liked. After using it a few times, it sticks to the inside of the case and becomes less visible... It's completely matte, so good exfoliation is necessary. It's not the 'matte but moisturized' type, so applying Vaseline the night before is essential. I haven't eaten or gone out wearing this, so I can't comment on its longevity. It's sold for about 6,500 won during sales on StyleShare. If you get it then, you can enjoy a purchase without regrets. I wish Black Rouge would release more light colors in this line.
ConsThe downside, which I've actually mentioned in the good points above, is that the case texture feels a bit rubbery, so it tends to attract dust.
TipIf you want a light color, you need to create a whitish base on your lips using a nude lip product or concealer. When applied to bare lips (especially for those with naturally pigmented lips), it comes out as a toned-down orange-coral color. It might be fine for those with less pigmented lips.
