Quick review: Effective, but is it worth enduring the discomfort and drawbacks?
I wasn't born with particularly sparse or short lashes, but they were naturally thin, making mascara application challenging. Even with dedicated curling and heating, my efforts were laughable against my stubbornly straight lashes. So, I decided to try GrandeLASH to nurture healthier lashes. I bought 3 or 4 packs through a purchasing service, though I'm unsure if I'll use them all.
The main advantage is its undeniable effectiveness. My lashes genuinely grew longer! The difference was visibly striking. Even the new lashes that grew after shedding were longer than before. After a 2-month break, my lashes still remained impressively long.
While it increases lash quantity, it doesn't improve thickness. Despite consistent use over an extended period, GrandeLASH didn't enhance lash volume or thickness. My lashes remained thin, with no noticeable increase in density. It wasn't until I combined it with another lash serum that I saw a slight improvement in volume. As for thickness... it seems that's something you're born with.
The irritation is intense! If it gets in your eyes, it really stings. I've used my fair share of eye drops, but this isn't the refreshing, slightly uncomfortable sensation you get from those. This feels like it's actively impairing your vision! You need to apply it so carefully that it barely touches your lashes to avoid puffy eyes and irritation the next day. Of course, I ignored this and kept using it, so now I'm desensitized to the stinging. I'm not sure if it's entirely to blame, but my dry eye condition worsened while using this product. That's why I took a break, and now I'm only applying a tiny amount at the roots... Here's hoping my dry eye doesn't flare up again.
I definitely noticed my dark circles getting worse. But since I already had them and don't usually cover them up, I just accepted it. It seems like the skin around my eyes eventually adapted with continued use, and they lightened up again, but I'm not sure if that's just me.
It seems to work well if you apply a gentler lash serum as a base, let it absorb, and then finish with GrandeLASH. Also, don't apply it right before bed - try to put it on at least 30 minutes before sleeping. Otherwise, you're more likely to wake up with puffy or bloodshot eyes the next day.
