Mild and with little eye irritation, and without the characteristic dry feeling of sunscreens. When applied in small amounts over time, it forms a nice, even white cast.
Cons
There are many reviews praising the lack of white cast and good spreadability, so I had high expectations. However, to achieve that, you need to use an extremely small amount. This is the fourth tube of sunscreen I've been using. The formula is a bit heavy, but it applies smoothly and evenly. It dries to a matte finish, but doesn't leave the skin feeling dry. I really liked that it was a mineral sunscreen without any eye irritation. There's no stickiness or greasiness. It brightens my skin tone naturally. There's no eye irritation either. I use it daily and sometimes even take a nap with it on, so it's very gentle and the zinc oxide ingredient is non-nano. My skin feels so comfortable. Other sunscreens can cause breakouts, but this one doesn't at all. With the gentle ingredients and tone-enhancing benefits, I'm extremely satisfied with Botanity after trying it.
Cons
Due to the mineral sunscreen properties, there is some dryness over time, but it's one of the better mineral sunscreens I've used. It's a product I'm truly grateful for, with no flaws.
Tip
Mineral sunscreens can be drying, but the dryness is less of an issue when I apply a few drops of jojoba oil as the last step in my skincare routine. That definitely helps reduce the tightness. This product alone doesn't provide enough coverage, so I like to apply it generously and then press on the Derlab sunscreen cushion. The cushion has better coverage, but the Botanity still helps keep my skin looking clean and healthy. I've compared it to the Makeon foundation, and you can see the difference in the photo.

So far, the products I've used have caused eye irritation, but this one doesn't. There's no excessive whitening effect, and it didn't cause any issues when I used it before makeup. As the name suggests, it's pure and gentle, and it didn't cause any trouble for me~
