Unlike typical sunscreens that feel noticeable on the skin, this one is barely perceptible. Even with organic filters, most sunscreens leave a distinct sensation, but this feels just like applying an emulsion. I experienced absolutely no eye irritation. Being an organic sunscreen, it does tend to feel a bit oily after some time. This seems to be an unavoidable aspect of the product. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 30, 2018
Perfect absorption, affordable price, sebum control, and a fresh finish - this product covers almost all the drawbacks of typical sunscreens. It's an organic sunscreen that doesn't even sting the eyes. While the Hwahae app excessively criticizes ethanol and other ingredients, it's essentially misleading. I used to believe it too, but Hwahae doesn't base their cosmetic ingredient reviews on sufficient clinical studies or research papers. Dermatologists know that mineral oil and petroleum jelly are far less irritating, and it's common knowledge that parabens are used in pharmaceuticals. I wish the app would change. With such misinformation, this excellent product is treated like trash. Especially the claim about sunscreen ingredients causing carcinogens is unfounded. The fact that Hwahae doesn't include CMIT/MIT in their list of dangerous ingredients shows the app's lack of credibility. I really hope they'd remove their list of 20 'caution ingredients'. Are there any downsides? It might not be ideal for those with dry skin.
