When choosing a sunscreen, I prioritized these key factors: - No or minimal white cast - No eye irritation - No deep dryness - No blemishes - Not greasy I couldn't find the perfect match, so I became a sunscreen nomad and eventually stopped using it altogether. But with summer here, I can't go without it anymore. While browsing, I noticed this brand's cleanser that I've been using well, and it was on a great sale, so I decided to give it a try! 🤍 Ingredients It's gentle with no concerning ingredients. I usually avoid products with dimethicone, but I thought I'd give it a shot if it doesn't cause blemishes. I've been using it consistently for about a week now, and I'm extremely satisfied - no skin issues at all. 🤍 Features I love that it's a hybrid sunscreen, combining mineral and chemical filters, which seems to balance out the drawbacks of each. As I hoped, there's no white cast and no eye irritation. I don't need high SPF for indoor use and I'm not too obsessed with it, but seeing the verified numbers on the product page gave me extra confidence. 🤍 Texture At first, I thought it might be oily, but it's actually quite watery with high moisture content. It takes a bit to absorb, but once it does, it doesn't feel greasy or sit on top of the skin. Even as time passes, it doesn't become excessively oily. It's hydrating with low oil content, and amazingly, no deep dryness... I think I've found my perfect match!
*Update (February 2023) I used it well during summer, but when the cold wind started blowing, it began to sit on top of my skin from fall onwards. When I apply it and put on a mask, it crumbles into white powder... I'm deducting one star. Based on other reviews, it seems the eye irritation varies from person to person! Also, while I love the hygienic pump bottle, the body is too soft, so it's hard to get a firm grip when pumping. It's not really a complaint, just an observation if I had to mention something.
I have combination dehydrated skin. For this season, it's a bit too moist for me, so I'm skipping moisturizer and applying it like this every morning: ❗️Toner - Ampoule - Sunscreen (Lactobacillus Sunscreen)❗️ I'm very satisfied - no deep dryness and no excess oil sitting on top. Previously, whenever I applied sunscreen, my skin would feel tight and stretched, or be shiny and slippery, or both! Or my eyes would water from irritation. I never found the perfect sunscreen, but this product might be my final go-to. It could be a great summer sunscreen for those with dry skin, and an all-season option for oily skin types. If it feels a bit heavy, try skipping your moisturizer like I did!
