But when I actually tried it, the difference was clear. After completing my basic skincare routine and applying the mask mixed with the ampoule, I noticed a dewy layer of hydration on my skin right after removing the mask. The moisturizing effect lasts much longer compared to using the mask alone. I was really satisfied with the immediate cooling sensation combined with long-lasting hydration.
ConsThere's just one drawback - the mixing process can be a bit cumbersome. Since the ampoule has a thick consistency, it doesn't blend easily with water and sometimes forms clumps that don't mix well. You need to stir quickly, but it's tricky to get the ratio right, and it feels like the mask itself starts to set a bit faster while you're mixing.
Tip• It's better to mix water first, then add the ampoule → Adding the ampoule first makes it more likely to clump. • Use about ⅓ of the total volume for the ampoule → Using too much can increase oiliness and slow down the setting process. • Lightly mist your face before removing the modeling mask → This helps blend any remaining ampoule with the moisture layer, leaving your skin hydrated without any residue after mask removal.

It flows like water and leaves a plump feeling on the skin when absorbed, providing a decent level of hydration. When I mixed it half-and-half with water for a modeling mask, it definitely improved the application. Compared to using just water, the surface was smoother and the mask felt more substantial, staying in place better. Although I'm usually sensitive to aloe, I was relieved to find no issues when using it mixed in the mask. Like before, it effectively calmed skin heat and locked in moisture, making it perfect for those times when you need some special care. I hadn't bought the set thinking I didn't really need an ampoule, but after trying it in the mask, I'm reconsidering - it really does make application easier. After the modeling mask, I applied a cooling ampoule and cream. As someone who struggles with facial heat while sleeping, I experienced a miracle - my face actually felt cool! Usually, heat rises from within as soon as I lie down, but by lowering my skin temperature with the modeling mask and following up with cooling products, the effect lasted. When I woke up, my skin condition had noticeably improved. If you're dealing with skin heat issues, I highly recommend giving this a try...
ConsThere weren't really any downsides! The only minor inconvenience was that the thinner parts of the mask, which contains diatomaceous earth, hardened and turned white, making them a bit tricky to remove. But that's more about the mask's characteristics rather than an issue with the ampoule itself. Oh, and since it has a watery consistency, be careful when pouring it into the modeling mask powder - it comes out quite quickly!
TipAs I mentioned earlier, for those of you struggling with skin heat, I highly recommend the combination of a modeling mask plus an ampoule or cream with cooling ingredients. It feels incredibly refreshing when you sleep...!! Previously, I found it disappointing that while the modeling mask felt cool right after application, the heat would return over time. But using these products together creates a synergistic effect! It feels like it extends the duration of the lowered skin temperature from the modeling mask. I think I'll be sticking to this combination for my modeling mask routine from now on!

It might drip a bit when applying, but that's fine since it gradually sets. It feels more hydrating than using water alone, and I love how it keeps the skin in contact moist for longer.
ConsThe modeling mask sets faster than expected, and once it hardens, it feels a bit tight on the skin, which is disappointing.

It really calms my skin, and when it's on sale at Hwahae, it's incredibly affordable with a generous amount. That's why I buy it so often!
ConsIt can be a bit challenging to remove once it dries, and adding water makes it even trickier. However, mixing in some essence helps improve the situation.
TipIf you add essence or leftover essence from other sheet masks, it becomes much more hydrating.

The large volume makes it easy to keep using without worry, so I'm already on my fourth bottle. I have dry-oily skin that's prone to blemishes, but this product doesn't cause any redness when I use it, which is why I keep coming back to it.
ConsThere's nothing to complain about. The price is affordable, the volume is generous, and it maintains hydration excellently!

It's also great for calming the skin quickly when you've had laser treatments or skin boosters at the dermatologist, or when blemishes appear.
Cons1. No matter how thickly you apply the mask, residue remains around the face contours and under the eyes after removal, requiring you to wipe again with toner on a cotton pad. 2. First-time users need to pay close attention to water adjustment. If there's too little water, it becomes stiff and hard to apply, but if it's too watery, it keeps dripping down below the jawline until it sets.
TipApplying a generous amount of refrigerated aloe vera gel before putting on the mask seems to create a synergistic effect, enhancing hydration and soothing properties for even better results.

ConsI used it up faster than expected, so I had to purchase more. Also, the modeling mask seems to dry more slowly

Doesn't cause blemishes
ConsAs I have oily skin, I don't mind the tightening feeling after it dries, but those with dry skin might find it a bit strange
TipPour the ampoule over cotton pads in a container, store in the fridge, and apply to your face when it feels hot - it works wonders

I mix it with a modeling mask, and after removing the mask, I apply the ampoule to a cotton pad and wipe my skin. After using this, I could feel a significant improvement in my damaged skin barrier. My skin has become incredibly better!
ConsThe downside is that as the ampoule dries, it kind of pills off like dead skin cells. It also makes my skin feel tight as it dries.

It seems to provide better hydration than water!
ConsIt's thicker than when mixed with water, so it tends to set faster. You need to apply the mask more quickly as a result.
