My skin is very dry, so I found a gentle body wash. I used Dr. Bronner's Almond Body Wash before trying Weleda's Almond Body Wash. It doesn't have the tight feeling right after showering like Dr. Bronner's. Among Weleda's existing body washes, this one has the gentlest ingredients, so I even use it to wash my face. The ingredients include sweet almond oil, glycerin, and shea butter, which is a great combination for dry skin. The ingredients are very simple. The surfactant used is coco-glucoside, which is a mild one, so it would be good for those with dry skin who find it burdensome to use their regular body wash morning and night, especially in the summer. It would also be great for dry skin in the winter. I even use this as my shampoo daily, except when my hair is oily - then I use it as a pre-shampoo. Since I bought it in France, it's labeled as 'creme de douche' (shower cream) instead of body wash.
Cons
As expected, products that are good for the body don't lather up much. It has a light, mild lather, like a slightly acidic cleanser. Since Dr. Haam told me not to be obsessed with lather, I'm fine with it, but those who want a lot of bubbles may be disappointed. However, you can use a loofah to get more lather. The ingredients are simple, but there is fragrance at the end. It's not a strong fragrance, so I wonder if it would be better to remove the fragrance altogether. The Weleda fragrance is made from natural ingredients, but I'm not sure what the specific natural sources are - after all, even petroleum is a natural substance. Still, the lack of fragrance is noticeable. The fragrance doesn't seem to be heavily added.
Tip
Tip: If you want more lather, use a loofah. You can also use a brush for your face. I usually just wash with my hands without a shower puff. It's smooth and soft, so it's nice to massage while washing with your hands. For those who want a bit more exfoliation, you can use a Kese mitt and squeeze a bit of the product onto it - it's less irritating than other products.
