  I honestly can't think of any downsides. If you're someone who finds toners to be a hassle, I think you could get away with just using this and a moisturizer!

  Houttuynia cordata didn't really agree with my skin, so I found this product just okay. The formula is still gentle, so there weren't any major issues. It seems I respond better to cica products. That being said, it didn't leave my skin feeling tight or uncomfortable!

  I didn't experience that instant soothing effect. Looks like Houttuynia cordata isn't the best match for my skin.

  While this product didn't cause any irritation, it didn't provide the calming effects I was hoping for. If you have super sensitive skin that reacts well to cica ingredients, you might prefer products with those instead.   Pros

  This product has a relatively thin formulation. So I've been using it as a light application before makeup!! Since it has a lightly thin formulation, it absorbs well without any stickiness after application. It's better for light application than a product for hydration! And it's incredibly gentle, so I think it would be a great product for those with sensitive skin.

  it was far too lightweight for me :(

  Texture and Feel: The essence has a runny, gel-like consistency that applies smoothly and lightly. It provides pure hydration without any oiliness! It's also very gentle on the skin with a soothing effect, which is why I've been using it daily lately. Packaging: The pump bottle is hygienic and convenient to use. When I bought it at Olive Young, they included a refill pouch, so I can apply it generously in large amounts.
