I've always been a fan of d'Alba sunscreens, but this is my first time trying their brightening moisturizer sunscreen, and I love how smoothly and hydratingly it applies! Many brightening moisturizer sunscreens tend to pill, but d'Alba's doesn't! If you're looking for a sunscreen that naturally evens your skin tone, definitely give this product a try!
ConsIt doesn't provide full coverage, so you'll need to use concealer if that's what you're after, but I'm still satisfied! It's slightly rich in texture, so those with oily skin might have mixed feelings about it.
TipI think it's great for daily use in summer! While it's not exactly budget-friendly, I'm willing to keep using it even at this price point. Now that the weather's heating up, I'll probably be using it every day.

As someone with dry skin, it's been an absolute perfect match for me. The biggest advantages of this product are its moisturizing effect and the natural Inner Glow it gives. It doesn't just brighten your complexion; it creates a subtly radiant look that makes your skin appear healthier and more vibrant! It doesn't dry out over time, making it ideal for daily sun care. I even applied it close to my mucous membranes and experienced no eye irritation - it's truly a flawless sunscreen. When used as a makeup base, it gives your skin a much more luxurious appearance. I especially recommend this for those with dry skin looking for a sunscreen to use as a base. I'm 10000% going to repurchase this.
ConsDue to its moisturizing formula, when used alone, it can feel slightly oily. This might feel heavy, especially for those with oily skin or during summer. Also, while the brightening effect is natural, it provides almost no coverage, so it might be difficult to use for a foundation-free look.
TipI use this product as a hydrating base and primer before makeup. After applying a thin layer and gently patting it in, a natural glow emerges. When I apply foundation over it, it creates a much smoother and more vibrant skin appearance - I'm completely satisfied! It's likely to be a comfortable all-day makeup base for dry skin types, without any deep dryness.

After a week of daily use for my commute, I'm impressed. The application is smooth and moisturizing. While I have combination skin, I think this would be perfect for those with dry skin due to its nourishing, oil-like texture. Even for combination skin types, although it initially feels rich, it absorbs quickly, which I really appreciate.
ConsWhile there's a pink version that might differ, I found this one lacking in coverage compared to other tone-up sunscreens. The brightening effect was also disappointing - even after layering it three times, it didn't match the results of applying other products twice. This was somewhat underwhelming.
TipAs someone who typically applies moisturizer twice and sunscreen three to four times, I discovered a technique that works well with this product. If you apply it patiently, allowing time between layers, you'll notice the brightening effect gradually intensifying. This method, while more time-consuming than with other products, results in a more natural-looking finish that I really like.

I'm really impressed with how it leaves my skin feeling fresh and non-sticky after application.
ConsJust keep in mind that while it provides a natural brightening effect, it won't completely cover blemishes. It's more about evening out your complexion.
TipThe product seems to work well for achieving a subtle, natural-looking glow without feeling heavy or greasy on the skin. It's great for those who want a light coverage that enhances their complexion rather than masking it completely.

It's perfectly moisturizing without being too sticky.
ConsIt really only evens skin tone, so don't expect it to cover blemishes or anything like that.
TipFor the best brightening results, let it dry for a bit after application.

The purple definitely brightens and evens skin tone more noticeably, while the pink gives a more natural brightening effect. It's so natural-looking that even though my school prohibits makeup, I can get away with wearing this. It's wonderfully hydrating, which is perfect for my dry skin - I'm absolutely thrilled with it!
ConsThe moisturizing formula can leave a bit of a shiny glow, but you can easily fix that with some powder. However, the coverage is practically non-existent, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking to go foundation-free.

Though it's not as heavy-duty as more opaque brightening moisturizers, it still evens out my skin tone nicely. For blemishes, a touch of concealer does the trick. Among all the brightening moisturizers I've tried, this one's the most hydrating. As I've gotten older, my skin has become drier, and this sunscreen seems perfect for me. It's great for quick outings or walks - the hydrating formula makes it easy to apply quickly. Oh, and it gives a beautiful glow too!
ConsDue to its moisturizing nature, it doesn't provide heavy coverage or completely conceal blemishes. I noticed some darkening on my face, and I'm not sure about its longevity due to the hydrating formula. If you want more coverage, I'd recommend applying two layers or using concealer.

I do a foundation-free makeup routine using brightening moisturizer sunscreens instead of foundation or cushions! So far, I've used up more than 1-2 bottles each of 1) Witch's Pouch* brightening sunscreens (2 types: Moisture and Original), 2) Numbers* brightening sunscreen, and 3) Cosno* brightening sunscreen. (I've also tested various other brightening sunscreens) Currently, I've settled on Cosno* and am using my 3rd bottle, so for this review, I'll compare the d'Alba Waterful Tone-Up Sun Cream with the Cosno* product! ✅Texture: So moisturizing, absolutely no creasing -> This is truly its strongest point.. I've never used a brightening moisturizer sunscreen this hydrating and crease-free while not being sticky! In the last photo, you can see that d'Alba doesn't crease while Cosno* does 😊 ✅Color: Pink-based I applied both the d'Alba Waterful Tone-Up Sun Cream and the Cosno* product, and the d'Alba product was definitely pink-based! It had the pinkest tone among all the products I've used so far. ✅Sensitivity: None at all! I have sensitive skin so I can't use just anything.. But this product didn't cause any blemishes or irritation 💗 (My skin is so sensitive that I recently used the trendy Daiso Mamonde Liquid Mask and my skin completely peeled off 😭) ✅Coverage: Medium..? Compared to the Cosno* product, the coverage was a bit lower. As it's a moisturizing product, the coverage is somewhat less than other matte brightening sunscreens. I think it's unavoidable due to the formula's characteristics. 👍🏻Highly recommend using it on the neck! -Spreads well due to its moisturizing nature -No creasing, so it doesn't settle into neck wrinkles -Doesn't transfer easily -Pink-based, so less embarrassing if it gets on clothes (Yellow-based ones are more noticeable and embarrassing..)
ConsThe coverage might be a bit lacking for using it alone on the face, but it's great as a base if you're planning to apply makeup on top due to its moisturizing properties
TipHighly recommend using it on the neck! It's moisturizing and doesn't crease, so it doesn't settle into neck wrinkles - it's amazing

I usually use no-sebum sunscreens, but this one has a thin texture and is moisturizing, so it absorbs well. It allows for a natural brightening effect that looks like bare skin.
ConsFor my combination dehydrated skin, since it's not a no-sebum inorganic sunscreen but a moisturizing hybrid, oil inevitably rises after some time. Even though I apply foundation over the sunscreen, it still gets a bit oily, though not excessively shiny. If you don't wear foundation, don't expect coverage from this sunscreen alone. It just slightly brightens the complexion.
