Not sure about its brightening effects, but it feels refreshing!

It's refreshing and hydrating, absorbing quickly into the skin. The lightweight texture makes it perfect as the first step in your skincare routine, ideal for smoothing skin texture. As an exfoliating toner, it's hard to beat. It's closer to a toner than an essence, so it might not provide enough moisture for winter use. However, its non-sticky, lightweight feel makes it perfect for use morning and night from now through autumn. Lately, I've been keeping it simple - just wiping my face with this blemish tonic to refine skin texture, followed by a moisturizer. My skin looks noticeably clearer. While they say it works even better with the blemish serum, I find the tonic alone is enough for me! Good absorption from the start of your skincare routine prevents pilling of other products. With Isoi's blemish tonic, a few gentle pats is all it takes to absorb, so you don't have to worry about your makeup sliding off. The dark spots around my chin have significantly faded, and overall, my complexion looks a shade brighter.
ConsThe price seems a bit high, but it's a great deal when on sale. Can't think of any real downsides.
TipIt works wonderfully as an exfoliating toner, and if you layer it, it provides great hydration too.

Most importantly, I've been using it consistently because it seems to help with blemish removal.

Although it's a refreshing water-based toner, I was pleased that it left a slight moisturizing feeling after patting it in. Depending on my skin condition, I sometimes experience tingling or redness after applying toners, but I never had that issue while using this product.
ConsI loved the feel of this product so much that I repurchased it, but I had to think long and hard about it because of the wickedly high price...

Absorption: Satisfactory when layering 2-3 times as a base. Hydration: It doesn't seem to... provide much hydration, to be honest. I have dry skin, though not extremely so. Despite having dry skin, I really dislike sticky products, so I tend to leave my skin slightly dry(?). As I'm nearing the end of the 130ml bottle, I'm satisfied with how it leaves my skin feeling fresh. However, considering the price-to-volume ratio... well... I'd recommend this to those looking for a refreshing toner or planning to use it alongside other Isoi products.
ConsIt's expensive... and the volume is... quite small (speaking as someone who uses toner-soaked cotton pads for masking every morning and night).
TipI apply the toner to cotton pads and place them on my face morning and evening. In my case, if I follow the toner mask with an occlusive cream, my skin feels fresh without much tightness! (My skincare routine only consists of toner and cream... occasionally a sleeping pack, though I often skip it out of laziness... ahem).

It has a more luxurious 'water toner' sensation. Perhaps due to its ingredients, it's effective for improving skin texture and reducing redness. I used it as part of my daily mask routine, and while there was a slight tingling at first, it quickly subsided, leaving my complexion calm and refined. As a rose fragrance enthusiast, I loved the scent, and the overall experience was very satisfying. When used in combination with creams or essences, it creates a synergistic effect, resulting in clearer skin. It's an excellent preparatory step before applying emulsions or creams.
ConsI was initially disappointed by the small size, but when I lined it up at home next to my 125ml, 140ml, 180ml, and 200ml bottles, I was surprised to find the difference wasn't as dramatic as I'd thought. To my eyes, it seemed like only about 3 to 10 days' worth of additional product.
TipThose with dry skin might find it a bit lacking in hydration. However, it's likely to be appreciated by those who enjoy a fresh, dewy feeling on their skin.

ConsI'm prone to getting small bumps if I use the wrong skincare, and unfortunately, this product caused tiny blemishes all over my face. I regret splurging on the expensive set.

It's refreshing, absorbs well, and I can see an improvement in my skin texture and glow. My skin feels moisturized and refreshed. It seems to have more nourishment than regular toners, which is understandable since it's an essence.
ConsThe price-to-quantity ratio is too low. It's called an essence, but 90ml is like a sample size... 200ml would have been much better. It's a shame, but I'll probably keep using it.
