But since I started using this sunscreen as a base, it seems to keep things under control. I'd say it's pretty good!
ConsThe scent is... well... It reminds me of old-fashioned cosmetics that older people used to wear. But it's tolerable, I suppose.

Of course it's drying, but less so than the Make P:rem Fluid (the big bottle). I'm more sensitive to heat from the sun than dryness, so I need to use mineral sunscreen. I apply two layers of toner, two layers of ampoule, and a bit of cream on extra dry spots and around the eyes before putting this on. It's more hydrating than what I mentioned above, so I might try just one layer of ampoule. It applies well and doesn't leave a strong white cast. The finish is matte, but it feels a bit sticky when touched, probably due to the skincare underneath. It works well with my Taping Cover Cushion brush!
ConsOh, the scent is like some kind of air freshener... lavender maybe? There's a faint smell like that. It's subtle, but it's not a scent I particularly enjoy.
TipIt seems best to apply by patting and tapping it onto the face. Since it's a mineral sunscreen, it tends to gather at the edges where your fingertips slide. For even application, let's pat and spread it out.

They suggested this product along with a few others. After testing, I chose this one for its reasonable price, cream-like texture, and very slight white cast. I'm now on my second tube. Among the products I tested, there was one with zero white cast that felt so much like an emulsion I couldn't tell if I'd applied it. But I wanted a sunscreen that could double as a base with a hint of white cast. The price and quantity are just right, and it's a solid, no-fuss product that I'll likely keep using!
ConsThe scent might be polarizing. I'm not sensitive to fragrances so it doesn't bother me, but others might dislike it. It's kind of like... an eraser smell mixed with powder? Anyway, it's not exactly a pleasant fragrance.

While I'm not sure which specific flower extracts are used, I tend to avoid products with floral extracts as they can cause reactions. Snail creams also don't suit me. I have dust allergies, so I need to cleanse thoroughly, and extreme dryness in winter can trigger allergies too. What I liked: The packaging is appealing, it absorbs well, and when applied it feels like it's smoothing my skin texture like a primer. The slight white cast actually brightens my complexion, which I enjoy. My boyfriend with oily skin finds it works well for him.
ConsFirst off, when I initially opened it, there was a strong alcohol-like scent that was a bit off-putting. At first, it seemed fine, but the more I used it, the more I noticed my skin feeling dry. It even started to cause a tingling sensation on my face... Those with dry skin should definitely avoid this product.

There's absolutely no greasiness. Even if it seems to leave a white cast at first, it disappears completely after about 10 minutes, which is fantastic!
ConsThe strong chemical-like scent might be off-putting for some, potentially causing headaches for those sensitive to fragrances. Also, for those with extremely dry skin, it may be so drying that it could cause dead skin cells to surface.
TipEven in summer, after applying a generous amount of moisturizer followed by this sunscreen, your skin won't feel greasy at all!

But interestingly, an Olive Young employee told me I actually have combination dehydrated skin! I've always struggled with sunscreen feeling heavy and greasy, so I often skipped sun protection. But I recently tried my friend's Dr. G No Sebum sunscreen and it was the first non-greasy sunscreen I'd ever used. When I went to buy it, the staff member advised that since I have combination dehydrated skin, using too much of the No Sebum product might actually cause more blemishes. They recommended this water-based product instead. Thinking about it, that made sense, and after researching I found many positive reviews, so I decided to purchase it. Overall, I'm very satisfied! 1. Scent: Unlike the typical strange sunscreen smell, this product has almost none of that. Instead, it has a refreshing tea tree-like scent! It was much more pleasant to apply. 2. Absorption: It's not sticky at all and applies smoothly like water! 3. Not greasy!!! But also not drying!! Usually, products that dry skin types use for hydration are too oily for me, but this one feels like it's truly adding 'water' to my skin. It's moisturizing without being dry like the No Sebum product, but also doesn't feel sticky or like there's a film on my skin.
ConsIt's so tiny... Compared to the price, it's adorably small. It's slim enough to fit entirely in your hand. It's a bit pricey for a student :( Update: I mentioned the scent was nice, but now I'm noticing a slight silicone-like smell :( Maybe I couldn't smell it properly before because of my cold?

I used to dislike the phenomenon of pilling and uneven application, but when I applied it before going out today, there was no pilling at all, and it was moisturizing and less drying, and my makeup went on well. I'm not sure about the lasting power since the weather was cloudy today and the UV protection was good, but in the case of other sunscreens or sun sticks, the oil tends to come up after a few hours, but this one seems to control the oiliness to some extent. The staff strongly recommended it, and it seems they had a good reason to do so. I couldn't find any particular downsides.
ConsIt was discounted, but it's still a bit on the pricey side. The scent is almost odorless, like an ointment, so people sensitive to scents may find it a bit off-putting. *Additional After using it for about 2 weeks, it gets very drying after more than 6 hours, and my makeup starts to peel off, and my skin feels very tight...It's probably inevitable since it's a mineral sunscreen.
