I've been a loyal user of the Skinfood Lip Balm. For nighttime use, nothing beats this. I used to use the one in the jar, but I tried this stick version for a more hygienic application without getting it on my hands. As expected, it's clean and convenient to use, which is great for hygiene.
ConsHowever, it feels much thinner than the jar version. And it's slippery. With the jar, I could apply it like a mask, but the stick version loses that advantage and feels more like a regular lip balm, which is a bit disappointing. You need to apply it two or three times for maximum satisfaction. Oh, and I learned this from other reviews - the stick definitely contains less product than the jar. That's a real drawback.
TipI'm not sure if the stick version has more oil or if it melts easier, but I keep it in my skincare fridge to prevent it from getting too soft. Even though it's slippery and hard to reapply, if you layer it about three times, you can get close to the feeling of using it from the jar. Since I only use it at night for dead skin cell removal, I might go back to the jar version.

No risk of bursting since it's not in a tube.
ConsI was expecting a stick version of the jar type, but this is a completely different product. I bought two and now I'm at a loss for what to do with them. The texture feels slippery... Anyway, it wasn't the product I had in mind. The case durability is weak and the amount is questionable. Use the money to buy the jar version instead. For a portable lip balm, look for something else.

That's about it
ConsThe salesperson said the ingredients were the same, but I feel deceived... It's extremely lightweight, slippery, and the moisture doesn't last long. Just buy the jar version instead... If you want a stick format, Carmex is better. This was a total fail. I've used the avocado jar lip balm for over 10 years, and now I feel so betrayed... I just want to throw this stick away. Oh, my money...
