I have oily skin that doesn't particularly feel dry, but dermatologists and estheticians all say I have combination dehydrated skin. I hate anything sticky or greasy, so I love how this absorbs with a fresh feeling. It's not a super hydrating emulsion, so even for oily skin, a moisturizer is a must. Usually, I layer toner-(serum)-essence-emulsion-eye cream/moisturizer (aqua bomb). Honestly, I wasn't sure what the emulsion's purpose was, and it's on the pricier side, so I thought I could skip it. I tried going without it for a while, but it felt like my routine was incomplete, so I came back to it. When I apply essence or serum, my skin gets a bit oily, but applying the Belif emulsion seems to balance my skin texture and oiliness. I end up buying it again because I miss it when I don't use it. It's expensive, so not great value for money... And it's not even a functional product! But there's no other emulsion with this texture, so it's irreplaceable.

The absorption is incredibly fast, leaving your skin feeling fresh without any stickiness. It's especially great for summer use! I really dislike products that feel oily, so I'm usually hesitant to apply anything to my skin, but I use this daily even though I skip other products. If you dislike that oily feeling or prefer a matte finish, I highly recommend you give this a try! I didn't find any particular downsides. As someone with super sensitive skin, everything used to sting after cleansing. However, this emulsion caused less tingling than most. It feels a bit dry with just one application. Layering it thinly multiple times helps improve the hydration. It's gentle, which I love. I have sensitive skin, and I trust this product so much I'm on my second bottle. I can't think of any downsides! While it doesn't dramatically improve my skin, its unassuming nature is actually its charm.

This is my holy grail product that I've been using for multiple bottles. It's perfect for summer use. I love that it's not oily. Sometimes I feel it's not enough on its own when my face gets dry. I wish it had a bit more hydration.

I think it would be great for men with sensitive skin types too! It's so light that if you have combination dehydrated skin, you'll definitely need to apply a moisturizer to avoid deep dryness. After hydrating your skin, apply this right before makeup for a perfect balance of moisture and softness, creating an ideal canvas for your foundation. The powdery finish sometimes felt a bit heavy, even when I wasn't wearing makeup. It's excellent for controlling excess oil before applying makeup.
