As someone in their 20s with combination skin, I've had good experiences with Innisfree's Green Tea Skin and Serum, so I decided to try this product from the same line. To cut to the chase, I wouldn't recommend this product, especially during winter! Let me start with the positives: Pros: 1. Low oil content 2. Non-sticky 3. No pilling As I mentioned about the texture, this product leans more towards hydration in the oil-moisture balance. As a result, there was absolutely no stickiness or heavy feeling. It absorbed well too, which is why I can list the lack of pilling as another advantage.
Cons: 1. Too lightweight 2. Deep dryness, skin feels tight 3. Ingredients not suitable for oily skin Compared to other brands' creams, Innisfree's Green Tea Balancing Cream is relatively thin and watery. It's almost as if they've added a bit of water to a regular cream. While this could be seen as a hydrating product, when I actually applied it, it didn't address deep dryness or tightness, and felt very light. If typical creams create a barrier to prevent moisture loss, this product seemed to just provide temporary hydration. I couldn't really tell the difference between this and Innisfree's Green Tea Balancing Emulsion... So if you already have the emulsion, I wonder if there's really a need to buy the cream from the same line. Those with oily skin might prefer this texture. However, the issue lies in the ingredients. There are four ingredients that could potentially clog pores or cause blemishes. If you have oily skin and are concerned about pores or blemishes, this is a cream you should avoid... For dry skin, it lacks richness, and for oily skin, the ingredients are disappointing.
The 2-star rating is specifically for winter use. Additional notes: In summer, this could be a lightweight product to use without stickiness or heaviness. However, in winter, it may not be sufficient for those with dry skin. If you have oily skin with pore and blemish concerns, check the ingredients before purchasing!
