I loved that it functions as a lip balm while also providing a nice tint! It's perfect for a natural, no-makeup look. The ingredients seem good too. And the price is really affordable. The color isn't as pretty as some other lip products, and the hydration isn't exceptionally outstanding. However, considering the value for money, I think it's still pretty good. It's perfect for quick trips to the local store or walks around the neighborhood. I appreciate that it's so affordable that I don't have to worry too much if I lose it. - sk********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJun 22, 2025
Even under yellow lighting, it has a cool pink tone, making it perfect for light cool skin tones. I'd recommend it for cool undertones, but not for warm ones due to its whitish-pink hue. The subtle pink shade is absolutely gorgeous! Unfortunately, when reapplying, it tends to accentuate dead skin cells on the lips and intensifies dryness, which was disappointing... - gu*******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRecommendedMay 1, 2025
📍Lip Type: Prone to dryness and flaking 📍Usage Purpose: Hydration + Natural healthy tone-up As my lips tend to get dry often, I tried the Melixir Vegan Lip Butter in shade 10 Flutter as a lip balm alternative! It applies smoothly and moisturizes well, making it great as a base before lip makeup. The color is also perfect for daily use, so I find myself reaching for it often. The texture isn't thick but applies with a slight tackiness that adheres thinly to the lips. It finishes with a moisturizing feel without stickiness, avoiding any heavy sensation. A subtle pink tint emerges naturally, giving a lively appearance even with bare skin. ✔️The hydration lasts quite long, very satisfying as a base before lip makeup ✔️The scent is subtle, likely to be agreeable for everyone ✔️The Flutter shade is a natural pink, great for daily use as a lip balm ✔️Applies smoothly without emphasizing dead skin cells on lips 🔎Summary of Advantages ➡️ Moisturizing hydration ➡️ Natural color that suits bare skin ➡️ Subtle, almost unscented fragrance ➡️ Perfect as a lip base The downside is that the color payoff is subtle with just one application, so you need to apply two or three layers to really notice the color. While this might be a plus for those who prefer a natural look, it could be disappointing if you're expecting a vivid color. 🔎Summary of Drawbacks ➡️ Very sheer color, requires layering to achieve noticeable tint ➡️ May disappoint if expecting a bright, vibrant shade If you often struggle with chapped lips and dead skin cells, I highly recommend this gentle, soothing lip butter. It's perfect for those wanting to add a natural glow, and ideal as a 'bare face lip balm'! I've been using Melixir lip butter for years now, probably gone through over 10 tubes. I definitely plan to repurchase in the future! - wg******Normal SkinRecommendedMar 26, 2024
It's perfect for adding a touch of life to your bare face. It truly melts into your skin like butter, without leaving any shine. While it's categorized as a lip balm, it doesn't actually moisturize your lips when applied. It works great as a base for glow tints that don't set well on their own. - he*****Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedFeb 12, 2024
I loved how long-lasting the hydration was. The color is also appealing, perfect for those with cool undertones. While it applies thinly, which is a plus, it also fades away quickly as a result... - ja******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 12, 2023
Out of all the lip balms I've ever used, this one stands out as the best in every aspect - moisture, color, staying power, and scent. My lips tend to chap easily, so I've tried countless varieties, but I think I've finally found my holy grail product. The only downside might be that it's a bit pricey for a lip balm. However, its numerous benefits more than make up for the cost. - ll******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDec 3, 2023
I loved how convenient it was - I could just apply this sunscreen and lip balm and be ready to go! Apart from that, it seems to have lost the true purpose of a lip balm. It's quite drying. As time passes, my lips feel dry, so I need to reapply frequently. Perhaps because it's tinted, it tends to make dead skin cells more noticeable on my lips. - le*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 6, 2023
I love natural-looking makeup. I prefer a watercolor-like effect, and this product gives my lips a beautiful tint while keeping them moisturized. For my taste, the color payoff was too intense. As mentioned above, for a subtle, effortless look, applying it just once works best. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedSep 23, 2023
I love that it doesn't melt easily and has a rich color. Even as a man in his early 20s who received it as a KakaoTalk gift from a friend, I've been using it for over a year and still going strong! It tends to transfer a bit. Also, being ivory-colored, the case can get slightly yellowed with prolonged use. It seems to show some fingerprints too. But overall, I'm still using it well. Since it transfers a bit, you can gently bite a tissue to absorb the excess, which helps it apply more naturally. - gw*****Combination SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 8, 2023
I discovered this while searching for vegan products because I couldn't use just any lip product due to my cheilitis! It definitely seems to be a gentle product! While it's a butter lip product, it does become dry over time. When my cheilitis is severe, even this product causes a slight itchy sensation. I recommend applying this over a lip balm.
