First, the biggest advantage is definitely the price. It's sold for around 2000 won for 30ml with a 1+1 offer. Portability is great. The 30ml size makes it convenient to carry around. It has moderate hydration. The moisturizing power isn't particularly impressive, but it's not slow to absorb either. The scent? It's a slight hint of cypress, I'd say. But it doesn't last long - you only notice it briefly when applying.
ConsI was shocked when I checked the ingredients on Hwahae... there are too many harmful components. I have a habit of touching my hairline often, and recently I've been getting 2-3 blemishes there even though I haven't changed my skincare routine. I wondered if it might be because of this hand cream, so I checked Hwahae and... the ingredients are seriously questionable. The fragrance: It smells very artificial... though it doesn't last long. I usually love cypress scents so much that I even use cypress-scented products before bed. I bought this after finishing my cypress brand hand cream, looking for something similar but cheaper. But the quality of the scent, hydration, and ingredients are all superior in the cypress brand. If you're buying for the scent, definitely go for the cypress brand instead. Hydration: Unsatisfactory. Even after absorption, my palms and fingertips still feel dry, so I always have to reapply. Usage period: If you use it more than 10 times a day, it'll be gone in 2 weeks.
TipThe best tip is not to buy it at all. If you're really looking for an inexpensive hand cream for everyday use, try the Byphasse hand cream. It's 150ml for 3500 won on Coupang, available for next-day early morning delivery. Byphasse has better ingredients than this one and better hydration too.
