MAC's Strobe Cream is quite famous. I bought it because my skin was looking dull and lifeless. After applying my skincare, I use the Strobe Cream, and it gives my skin a lively appearance and refines my complexion - I love it! I've tried various products like Benefit's Pore Primer and Laura Mercier's Hydrating Primer, but this is the one I reach for most often.
The glowing skin effect seems to diminish when you apply foundation over the Strobe Cream.
I apply a thin layer all over, then use a sponge to ensure it's well-absorbed into the skin. If I want more glow, I'll add another layer to specific areas. After foundation, I also dab a small amount on my nose bridge and cheekbones.
