The price is the most disappointing part... I always have to buy it through direct imports or at duty-free shops.

I've been using the well-known Strobe Cream and it works great for my makeup when going out!!! The shimmery effect is really nice.

 I strongly recommend mixing this product into foundations that you find too difficult to use on their own. Even though I'm generally not a big fan of matte finishes, I found that mixing it with the Ameli Pact and then patting it on gave a nice balance of matte yet luminous finish. The Ameli Pact was also a staple for me, so I'll definitely be using this mixing trick more.

3. Foundation-free version
If you don't want to use foundation at all, you can do sunscreen + concealer/color corrector, then the strobing cream, and finish with a high-coverage powder foundation. This also gives a beautiful, satin-like glow from within, without any shine. I use this routine when I don't want a full face of makeup, and it works great. The product is nearing the end of its lifespan, so I'll have to repurchase soon.

 1. As mentioned in the pros, unless you're mixing it, individual research is needed on how to use the "skincare + sunscreen - (strobing cream) - foundation" combination... Overall, it would be more challenging for oily skin types. I bought this before the pandemic and it became a staple, but I'm only starting to use it now as my T-zone and forehead have become less oily over the past year or two, making it easier to use.

2. It was still okay when I mixed it with Double Wear, but I ended up not using it since I had a cheaper and more proven method of using Double Wear with Missha Cushion Foundation.

3. Personally, I felt it worked better with a glowy or semi-matte foundation rather than a completely mattifying one.

4. The dense and high-density pearls require thorough cleansing.

5. The biggest downside I see is that it can make you want to forgo sunscreen.

6. It looks especially shiny and oily around the T-zone area when the oil comes through. Don't panic, just blot with oil-blotting papers and use a powder compact. Interestingly, the oiliness in the middle of the forehead actually looked better, but the circular oily areas around the nose were shockingly bright, like little pools of oil.

Despite all these downsides I've experienced, the beautiful glowing effect is so compelling that I'd still give it 4 stars. If half-star ratings were possible, I'd have given it 3.5 stars.

 Using it properly can create an irreplaceable glow, which is amazingly good. However, it is not an easy product, and some trial and error is required... To be honest, I can't recommend it carelessly unless you have dry skin. The process of finding the right combination was fun in a way, but also frustrating at times. I really wondered what I was doing... Even as a makeup enthusiast, who would want to go through all the hassle just to use something they use frequently?

Even if you choose a colored version instead of the original silver pearl base, you don't need to worry too much about the color being too strong. Generally, the pearl particles are so small that they won't be visible when applied, so you don't need to be concerned about it looking like a highlighter.

To describe the effect when used properly (I'll explain the method at the bottom), it's great when it gives a dense yet not overpowering glow under foundation, but it really shines when it mixes with the skin's natural radiance as it wears down. I recommend it for when you're going to places with a lot of lighting or when you want to keep your makeup look minimal for a semi-formal occasion. I even got complimented twice when I wore it to an after-party for a conference - it looked like I had put a lot of effort into my skin care, but just lightly applied foundation.

The cost-effectiveness is not as good as I had expected.. It seems like a cosmetic product that doesn't make much of a difference whether you use it or not.

Right now, I'm using the pre-reformulation Lancome Teint Idole, and I think I need to find a foundation that synergizes well with it.

Back in the day, when there was only one type of strobing cream, my skin was already looking great. But after applying strobing cream and foundation, everyone would say my skin looked amazing. Remembering that, I tried the Peach & Lily cream, but the satisfaction level has dropped compared to before. It just feels like a regular lotion.

Dab it on the areas that catch the light. Apply it evenly without causing any clumping. Sometimes, mix it in with your foundation. Avoid heavy, excessive application.

Applying too much can cause the makeup to clump. As a combination skin type, applying a large amount all over the face can be a bit burdensome. It's better to dab it on the areas you want to highlight or where the light hits nicely. (However, on days when your skin condition is good, applying it all over can also look great.)

The subtle pearlescent glow on the face is beautifully radiant as it moves, with the light reflecting differently at different angles. It maintains a lovely glow all day long! This color is much prettier than traditional strobing creams. A small amount can be used as a highlighter, and it helps create a beautiful skin expression when used as a base before foundation application.
