The toner that came as a gift set was a pleasant surprise. Although I purchased it in the winter, I felt it might be too light for my extremely dry skin, so I waited until the summer to use it along with the serum. As described, it has an essence toner-like texture, not watery but slightly viscous, about the consistency of light nasal mucus. For someone like me with dry skin, it may feel a bit drying in the winter, but it's been perfect for the current season.

This product is best used together with the ampoule from the same line. It will truly complete the routine and make your skin look so plump and luminous the next day. Give it a try!

True to its name as an essence toner, it deeply hydrates the skin with a smooth, absorbent texture. After my evening cleansing routine, I apply it with a light patting motion, followed by a couple of pumps of the essence serum. The long-lasting hydration and the brand's signature scent leave me feeling continuously nourished. Having used V&A's ampoules and creams before, I've grown to love their unique fragrance, which is a delicate blend of floral notes that sets them apart. This scent even lifts my mood. I also find that applying the V&A products before makeup creates a smooth, seamless finish without any pilling or slipping. My husband, who is quite sensitive to strong scents, actually enjoys using this toner as well. He says the pleasant aroma and the elegant packaging make him feel pampered. The scent is a subtle citrus-floral, which I really enjoy. It's not overpowering, but still refreshing, giving me a mood boost during my skincare routine.

Overall, this toner is very satisfying in terms of hydration, skin texture improvement, and synergy with the rest of my routine. I'd highly recommend it, especially for normal to oily skin types.
