Quite a mouthful, isn't it? The word 'tape' caught my attention, suggesting it would adhere to the skin like, well, tape. The texture is incredibly fluid, brimming with hydration, which allows for effortless application. There's not a hint of stiffness to be found. What impressed me most was the delightful coconut scent that lingered throughout use. This Tarte primer boasts a dewy, moisturized glow and is exceptionally soft and hydrating, making it a godsend for those of us with dry skin.
ConsTo be honest, as someone who prioritizes brightening effects, I felt the Tarte primer focused more on skin texture rather than evening out skin tone or concealing blemishes. If I had tested this in-store, I might not have chosen it.
TipIt's worth noting that the Tarte Tape Primer doesn't offer the typical makeup base functions like brightening, neutralizing redness or sallowness, or concealing blemishes. For best results, pair it with a foundation or BB cream that provides strong coverage. However, its strength lies in hydrating and smoothing the skin, preparing it like a red carpet for makeup application. I'd recommend this to those with dry skin like mine, or anyone who struggles with dead skin cells and makeup that tends to flake off.
