My skin is typically sensitive and combination dehydrated. I always get blemishes on my chin and cheeks. I've tried many similar patch products, but the Needle Care patches I won were the most hygienic. They seemed to speed up the healing process of my blemishes. They were also easy to remove. I was worried the needles might be irritating, but it felt just like applying a regular patch. I love that they're specifically for nighttime use! It's disappointing that there are only 4 patches per pack of Needle Care. (I think there might be fewer since I received them as a prize.) I've seen products on the market with 6 patches and a separate tweezer included, so the value for money isn't great in comparison. Also, the needles seem to be made of metal, and when I pressed firmly on a blemish, it burst, which was a bit painful. Other than that, I didn't have any issues using them. For areas with blemishes, it might be better to extract them a bit before applying the patch. I found it works best to cleanse, apply toner, then immediately put on the patch before using any emulsion or cream. When I tried applying cream first, the adhesiveness wasn't as good. However, these patches still stick better than other products I've tried. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 28, 2022
The patches are securely packaged to prevent damage to the microneedles. Even after 8+ hours post-cleansing, they stayed firmly in place. The metal-like microneedles gave a pricking sensation, which felt hygienic and effective. The next day, my blemishes were noticeably calmer! I hoped the microneedles would target my blemishes directly, but their honeycomb structure with an empty center made it tricky to align with smaller spots. After the recommended 8-hour application, my blemishes seemed improved, but they resurfaced the following day. These patches seem more effective for larger blemishes rather than smaller ones! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinNov 4, 2021
I was so excited before buying it! I thought it would penetrate my skin and heal my blemishes Instead, it actually damaged my skin and left scars. I'm currently trying to repair the damage with Noscarna - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 11, 2021
I thought this would be more effective than other acne patches on the market... Instead, it made my blemishes worse and larger. I tried it for a few days, waited, then tried again, but the same thing happened. It's completely ineffective... Such a disappointment. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 7, 2021
*This review was written as part of The Hwahae Testers event* I have combination, sensitive skin with a lot of blemishes that I'm concerned about. First, I'd like to mention that this was my first time using microneedle patches. I thought I was only getting one 4-patch pack, so I was already planning where to put them on my face. But to my surprise, I received three packs! I even gave one to my sister to try. The needle part was silver with visible pointy bits, so I was worried it might hurt. But when I applied it and pressed gently, it felt a bit painful at first, then cooling. Since it's said to be most effective when worn for 8 hours, I put them on before bed! I tried them on 3 different spots: 1. A blemish that seemed to have white pus inside, but the surrounding skin was too thick to squeeze 2. An area where I had popped a pimple before and mismanaged it, resulting in blood trapped underneath 3. A regular pus-filled blemish My sister used it twice for over 8 hours each time on areas like #1 - red and swollen but unsqueezable. She said the swelling visibly decreased and it quickly soothed the painful spots where there's less flesh. She thought it was very effective. In summary, it worked well on areas that were red and swollen but hadn't come to a head yet. I applied the patches once for over 8 hours on the 3 spots I mentioned earlier. In the morning, I found that spot #1 had turned into a regular pus-filled blemish. Spot #2 showed no change, and spot #3 had burst and partially healed, but some pus remained inside. So I had to pop it again with a cotton swab and apply a regular patch. It did heal, but I was a bit disappointed. Maybe I expected too dramatic results all at once. It seems to work differently for everyone - it didn't suit me well, but my sister really liked it and praised it. Another downside was the price. I found out that one pack of 4 patches costs 8,000 won, which is more expensive compared to other microneedle patches! Personally, I think it's not great value for money. It seems to work best on deep-set blemishes with hardened skin like spot #1, rather than on already mature pimples. Also, it looks like you need to apply it for at least 8-10 hours twice, not just once, to see noticeable results! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinOct 7, 2021
First, I loved that each patch was individually wrapped to prevent air exposure! Also, it didn't hurt much when applied directly to blemishes. The patches adhered well and were the perfect size to use on any spot. Update as of January 9, 2022: After not using them for a while, I tried them again when a large, inflamed pimple suddenly got worse. The patch noticeably reduced the swelling! It seems to help with redness too. To be honest, the effects weren't as dramatic as I had hoped. It didn't seem to make blemishes disappear quickly or provide immediate soothing effects. Update as of January 9, 2022: I noticed some small bumps appearing around the large, inflamed pimple, which might be due to these patches. So it seems we need to use them cautiously. It's unlikely you'll see significant results after just one or two uses. Since you need to keep the patch on for an extended period, it's best to apply it before bed and leave it on for as long as possible. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinOct 6, 2021
I tried these patches on both yellow, ripe blemishes that weren't visible to the naked eye and on firm, inflamed acne. They seemed to work better on the ripe blemishes. The photo shows the result of using it on a ripe blemish. I wore it for about 8 hours while sleeping, and when I removed it, sebum came out with it. There was no bleeding. It healed and calmed down immediately, and now it's completely gone without any hyperpigmentation. For the firm acne, while the firmness disappeared and it calmed down, it didn't completely vanish. These types of blemishes probably won't be resolved with just one application - you might need to use the patches multiple times. Unlike regular acne patches, the fact that these can calm blemishes just by wearing them is a huge advantage! Adhesion: Excellent Repurchase intention: Very likely Soothing effect: Very good While it's understandable that the price has gone up due to added features and individual packaging compared to other patches, it's still a bit disappointing. These might be more suitable for people who get occasional breakouts. For those who frequently get multiple blemishes, it might be too costly to use on all of them. It might be best to selectively use one or two on the most severe spots. I tend to break out especially during my period, so I plan to use these patches around that time! I think applying acne medication, letting it dry, and then putting on the patch could help maintain its effectiveness while boosting results.
