As mentioned in the drawbacks, I recommend using a separate product to remove eye makeup before using this cleanser.

Rinsing with water alone doesn't feel thorough enough, so I always follow up with soap for a second cleanse. While it may vary from person to person, I somehow feel like there's still oil residue, so I make sure to cleanse with soap afterward. Waterproof eye makeup is particularly stubborn and doesn't come off easily even with thorough cleansing. It's necessary to use a separate eye makeup remover before using this product.

Since this product is easily available in the US, I've been using it consistently for years. It's gentle on the skin with minimal irritation and has a pleasant, neutral scent, so I use it frequently. It seems to effectively remove most cosmetics.

For best results, massage thoroughly around your nose, cheeks, and under your chin while cleansing. It really helps remove impurities effectively.

It stings a bit if it gets in your eyes. I'd suggest using a separate eye makeup remover for the eye area or being extra careful to avoid getting the product in your eyes while cleansing.

Took off one star because of the slight eye irritation.

The texture has a nice weight to it - not too heavy, not too light. It's perfect for gentle rolling and feels smooth on the skin. The scent is very subtle, almost unscented with just a hint of herbal notes.

Two pumps were enough to cover my whole face. As I massaged it in, my skin felt soft and comfortable.

After emulsifying with water and rinsing thoroughly, my skin didn't feel dry at all, just refreshingly clean!

I followed up with a gentle low pH cleansing foam just to be thorough. Afterwards, my skin felt incredibly soft and smooth. It removed my mineral sunscreen completely, leaving my skin feeling great even before applying any skincare.

Now I understand why people buy multiple bottles of this! While there are many good cleansing oils available domestically, and I usually prefer fresher local products, Burt's Bees has definitely earned a spot in my favorites.
