However, as the season changed, even this mineral sunscreen became too drying and emphasized dead skin cells. Feeling nervous but determined, I decided to try a new sunscreen. Fortunately, the product description matched exactly what I was looking for in a sunscreen (hydrating, doesn't make makeup pill, cooling effect with proper moisturization, proven SPF, long-lasting protection, etc.). The ingredients like noni and propolis, known to be good for the skin, suited me well. Luckily, I didn't experience any blemishes, and it applies smoothly like most sunscreens. There's a slight white cast. At first, it felt moisturizing as described, and my makeup seemed to sit better on my skin.
ConsHowever, as I continued using it, the drawbacks of mineral sunscreens became apparent. While it might be an issue of compatibility with my skincare or BB cream, I only changed the sunscreen, yet it started to pill like residue and became drying, emphasizing dead skin cells. This led to my BB cream not adhering well, and when I removed my makeup, whiteheads and clogged pores became more noticeable.
TipIt seems you need to apply plenty of hydrating skincare products before using this sunscreen.
