It's known for its thin, adherent texture and unique color. The coverage is moderate, but application technique can affect the result, so check out the tips section! Adhesion: It's really fantastic. I often get product buildup around my nose, but not with this one - it's completely seamless. Color: It's lighter than shade 21. I usually find 21 too dark, but going a shade lighter often results in a pink tone that causes darkening. This product, however, brightens without that pink undertone, so it's a perfect match for my skin. (Etude House Double Lasting in N21 was also quite pink on me) I tested shade 1 as well, which seems to be around a 17, without any noticeable pink tones.
ConsMatte Finish: While it claims to be semi-glow, on my skin it felt as matte as Estée Lauder foundation. It's so difficult to blend with a soft puff that it clumps up. You'll need to use a brush or damp beauty sponge. Ingredients: My skin felt increasingly dry as time went on.
TipIf you want higher coverage, use a brush. Personally, I find brush maintenance tedious and prefer a dewy finish, so I dampen my puff with toner before applying. Unless you have flawless skin, using a soft, airy puff will result in poor application and a matte finish.

I bought both the Ivory and Vanilla shades. I use Ivory for an all-over base and Vanilla as a highlighter. Instead of swiping it on, I'd recommend applying it with a stamping motion and then gently patting it in with a puff for the best results.
ConsWhen I used it on a dry skin day, it completely separated and looked terrible.

Back then, I found it unexpectedly dry, stiff, and it applied too thick, so I swore off stick foundations. I decided to give this a try because: 1. I was already satisfied with Espoir's Be Glow cushion. 2. The cushion's longevity and coverage left a bit to be desired. 3. I stumbled upon a YouTube video showing how stick products can complement cushions in terms of staying power and coverage. Using it in real life, I've found that: Despite being a stick, it's surprisingly hydrating. While the coverage isn't as high as I'd hoped, layering it over the cushion does improve coverage. It doesn't clump up, spreads thinly and evenly, and touch-ups are a breeze. The biggest difference is in my overall makeup routine. Previously, when my skin was acting up, I'd go all out with primer, Estée Lauder Double Wear, concealer, and powder. Even then, with my poor skin condition and dryness, it would end up patchy and cakey in places - it was a disaster. Switching to Espoir has made my makeup routine so much easier. Of course, I've had to accept that it won't completely hide blemishes. I love how it brightens my complexion and gives a dewy glow. This product would have truly shined in a mask-free era! After bouncing between foundations for ages, I never expected to settle on Espoir.
ConsWhile it starts off hydrating, it does feel a bit drier as time goes on. The longevity isn't particularly impressive, but in my opinion, it doesn't break down too badly. Easy touch-ups are a plus. The coverage, though... leaves something to be desired.
TipTry spritzing some setting spray on your puff before application.
