ConsHonestly, it's hard to find time for this during busy mornings. It's easier to just use a cushion foundation. Using a stick format doesn't improve coverage either, so there doesn't seem to be a compelling reason to use this product.

It's a pleasure to use! You might think Ivory = Shade 21, but as you can see in the photos, it's definitely lighter than 21! I'd guess it's closer to shade 19. This could be intriguing for those tired of cushions and foundations. The formula glides on smoothly! At first glance, it might seem too glowy, but once applied, it's not overwhelming (though oily skin types might find it quite luminous). I tried applying with a toothbrush-style brush and an Espoir cushion puff. The brush seemed to give a more matte finish, while the puff increased adherence. This would be great for those with normal to combination skin without blemishes!
ConsThe coverage is... well, disappointing. It barely conceals anything, be it scars or blemishes. Adherence is average at best. Unless applied extremely thinly, it tends to separate and clump when wearing a mask. Though I had similar issues with Holika Holika's stick foundation, so it might be characteristic of the format. Either way, it's not ideal for our mask-wearing era. It's very susceptible to oil, disappearing quickly, so those with oily skin will need to set it with powder. It also tends to flake on dry areas, making it challenging for someone like me who prefers a quick application. While it looks bright initially, it darkens noticeably after just 1-2 hours. There's a difference between a foundation melding with your skin tone and oxidizing, and in my experience, this leans towards the latter, unfortunately.
TipI'd recommend patting it on like a stamp rather than swiping to reduce clumping, but... that defeats the purpose of a stick foundation's convenience, doesn't it?

It had more of a semi-matte finish initially, but as time passed, it blended naturally with my skin's oils, creating a subtle Inner Glow that made my complexion look even more beautiful. This is a product that enhances your skin's appearance over time. The shade 21 is just right, neither too yellow-based nor too pink-based, but a perfect ivory hue. While there's some transfer to masks, even after wearing it for a long time, it doesn't leave patchy marks when removed. Instead, it fades gracefully, like a thin layer lifting off, which I really appreciate.
ConsThe coverage is a bit lacking. While it does a good job of concealing redness, it struggles to hide blemishes or acne.
TipIt's challenging to apply evenly with your fingers. Using a brush or puff will help it absorb more beautifully.

Back then, I found it unexpectedly dry, stiff, and it applied too thick, so I swore off stick foundations. I decided to give this a try because: 1. I was already satisfied with Espoir's Be Glow cushion. 2. The cushion's longevity and coverage left a bit to be desired. 3. I stumbled upon a YouTube video showing how stick products can complement cushions in terms of staying power and coverage. Using it in real life, I've found that: Despite being a stick, it's surprisingly hydrating. While the coverage isn't as high as I'd hoped, layering it over the cushion does improve coverage. It doesn't clump up, spreads thinly and evenly, and touch-ups are a breeze. The biggest difference is in my overall makeup routine. Previously, when my skin was acting up, I'd go all out with primer, Estée Lauder Double Wear, concealer, and powder. Even then, with my poor skin condition and dryness, it would end up patchy and cakey in places - it was a disaster. Switching to Espoir has made my makeup routine so much easier. Of course, I've had to accept that it won't completely hide blemishes. I love how it brightens my complexion and gives a dewy glow. This product would have truly shined in a mask-free era! After bouncing between foundations for ages, I never expected to settle on Espoir.
ConsWhile it starts off hydrating, it does feel a bit drier as time goes on. The longevity isn't particularly impressive, but in my opinion, it doesn't break down too badly. Easy touch-ups are a plus. The coverage, though... leaves something to be desired.
TipTry spritzing some setting spray on your puff before application.
