  For those with dehydrated skin, winter is a battle against dryness. My face feels tight immediately after cleansing, and no matter how much I apply, it still feels parched. If I use even slightly less, my sensitive skin becomes noticeably dry. As soon as winter started, I bought this from Olive Young. I love that it's free from harmful ingredients, which prevents those tiny white bumps from appearing. It works best when applied generously right after cleansing, then again generously after 5 minutes. Plus, it's fragrance-free.

  Cons

  If you only apply it once, it feels like it dries up pretty quickly. The bottle is quite small. In winter, you'll go through a bottle in no time.

  Tip

  For best results, layer it on twice with a short interval, then finish with a cream.

  I snagged this during a buy-one-get-one-free deal at the drugstore, so it was a great bargain. The dropper makes for clean and easy application. It's a relatively affordable way to incorporate an ampoule serum into your routine. Once it dries, there's no sticky residue. Plus, it's fragrance-free.

  Cons

  After giving birth, my skin became less oily and more dry. Maybe that's why I didn't find this very hydrating once it absorbed. I bought it hoping to use a lighter summer routine of toner-essence-serum without cream, but it wasn't moisturizing enough. I ended up having to add a cream. When I tried my makeup without the cream, my skin felt too dry, so now I always make sure to apply a moisturizer.

  I originally had combination skin, but recently my forehead suddenly became dry and tight like dry skin. So when I heard it was recommended by Director Pi and Beauty Label, I thought 'why not give it a try?' It's only been two days, so I can't say my skin has improved dramatically, but the tightness on my forehead is gone! No wonder it's a top-rated product, haha!

  Hmm, this might be a case-by-case thing, but about 2 minutes after applying, the surface dries completely. Of course, it feels super moisturized underneath, but personally, I prefer products that keep the surface feeling hydrated for longer. That was a bit disappointing for me! But honestly, I don't feel any dryness, so it's not really an issue... haha!

  Pro tip: Use it together with Aromatica's Aloe Gel for double the hydration!

  It's quite gentle on the skin. I have extremely sensitive skin and suffered from atopic dermatitis for about 10 years when I was younger. Because of this, I only used to buy skincare from natural stores. But with this product, I'm pleased that there's no tingling or burning sensation at all. I can definitely feel my skin becoming smoother too.

  Cons

  You need to pair this with something very hydrating or rich in moisture. Don't be fooled by the initial feeling - as soon as it starts to dry, apply something else right away! After application, those with dry skin might feel tightness around the face. I have very dry skin around my eyes, mouth, and forehead, and if I only use this, my face feels very tight after just 5-10 minutes. I haven't found an emulsion or cream that pairs well with this yet. I've tried various samples, but they don't seem to complement each other. It feels super hydrating at first, but dries quickly, which might be why...

  Tip

  For those who apply with their hands, make sure to keep the soft part of the bottle opening clean where your right hand grabs it! Otherwise, open the lid and wash your hands again... I've heard this is extremely important.

  I usually keep my skincare routine simple, using minimal products. But lately, with the dry weather persisting, I've been dealing with blemishes and dullness, especially around my mouth and chin. I've been hiding behind a mask! That's when I tried this product. Whether it's because it's addressing my dehydration or just suits my skin well, it gave me a glow like I'd just had a facial! By day three, my blemishes had calmed down and my complexion returned to normal. After about a week of use, my skin had a beautiful glow and my makeup didn't cake or separate. I'm really impressed!

  The dropper packaging means I tend to use too much at once, so I'm going through it quickly. Right after application, it feels super hydrating, and over time it gives a firming effect. But then it starts to feel a bit dry, like it's tightening up. Reapplying helps a bit. On extremely dry days, it's a very light formula that my skin just drinks up. ------------------- Adding more after continued use: After 1-2 more weeks of consistent use, I'm experiencing the same issues other reviewers mentioned. Inflamed acne and blemishes have erupted all over my forehead, chin, nose, and cheeks. It's shocking how my skin went from looking great to completely breaking out! (I usually only use toner, occasionally add a sheet mask when dry, and sunscreen, so this product is likely the culprit.) I thought I'd found my holy grail product, but now my skin has completely rebelled. It was great for a week! Now at 30+, my skin is going through a second puberty.

  Tip

  Here's a tip I discovered during the holidays when I lost my lip balm: After cleansing, apply a generous amount of ampoule serum to dry lips. When your lips start to feel plump, gently wipe them with a toner-soaked cotton pad. This works even better for dryness than toner alone! For those days when you want a dewy makeup look but your skin is flaky or dry, try this: Apply this product, then mix it with your primer, sunscreen, or base. Finish with a cushion foundation for all-day hydration!

But after consistently applying it twice a day, layering it, and following up with a hydrating cream, I noticed the deep dryness improved somewhat. Though I initially switched to other products seeking more dramatic results, I've come back to this one. The key seems to be consistent application. Also, layering it a few times is important!

While I can't say Nine Wishes ampoules are absolutely amazing, their biggest strength is that they're suitable for all skin types without causing any issues.
