It gives your cheeks a natural, fresh glow rather than an artificial, heavily blushed look. When used with Chanel's Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint or Les Beiges Cushion, it makes your face look like you've just washed and applied cream. Best of all, it doesn't feel heavy, allowing your skin to breathe comfortably. Though 15ml might seem small, a grape-seed sized amount is enough to cover one cheek with plenty left over, and the color payoff is excellent. I've never used a liquid blush before without breaking out, especially after my skin reacted badly to NARS. But this one didn't cause any blemishes at all. I've already bought Light Peach and now I want Intense Coral too. This is definitely my new holy grail! You might think, 'How pigmented could it be?' Trust me, the color payoff is out of this world!
ConsThe intense hydration might make it challenging for those who need coverage. Like the Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint and Les Beiges Cushion from the same line, which are known for their lightweight feel and moisturizing finish, this product offers almost zero coverage. Applying this over makeup feels like putting serum on top, causing everything to slide off. If you apply it over regular foundation, it practically removes it. The application technique matters - avoid rubbing and instead gently pat it on in one direction to minimize this effect.
TipThe color range feels quite limited. There are only four shades for a blush, and they're all warm-toned. It's disappointing that there are no options for cool-toned individuals. It feels like a trial run - I hope they release more colors. A clear red or a cool fuchsia for cool-toned folks would be great. For application, avoid circular motions. Instead, squeeze a tiny amount onto your index finger, blend it with your thumb, then gently pat it on. This worked best for me. Light Pink and Peach were fine to apply directly, but when I tried Intense Coral straight on my face, the color pigments seemed to clump, creating an uneven look. Still, it's so beautiful that I can overlook these minor issues.
