I've been using SK-II RNA Power Cream for a long time and loved it, but after moving to a drier climate, I felt it wasn't quite enough (my face felt extremely tight when I woke up). I tried layering toners, essences, emulsions, and even occasional sheet masks, but still felt my skin lacked hydration. I experimented with various moisturizers to find one that could lock in moisture, but nothing really stood out. Then I came across multiple reviews praising Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream for its ability to retain skin's moisture. Since it wasn't much pricier than other products I'd tried, I decided to give it a shot. I've been using it for about a month now, and I'm completely satisfied. It comes in a tube, and the texture is slightly thick, almost like an ointment. The color is a dull brown/gray, and there's barely any scent - maybe a slight medicinal smell. Despite its appearance, which might make you think it would cause blemishes, this cream does an excellent job of sealing in all the hydrating products applied beforehand. It also balances oil production perfectly (no shine!). As someone with dry skin living in an extremely dry area, I find this product incredibly effective at maintaining my skin's oil and moisture balance.
If I had to nitpick... unlike other creams, it leaves a slightly tacky feeling on the skin? Instead of the usual silky finish after applying a cream, there's a bit of stickiness. But honestly, I can't think of any real drawbacks or disappointments so far!
I apply a hydrating moisturizer first, then layer the Ceramidin Cream on top to lock in the moisture, and I'm really happy with the results.
