It's a classic lip balm color that enhances your natural lip tone, which I love. With mask mandates lifting, I wanted something with a bit of color, and this fits the bill perfectly! While it's described as 'glossy', it's not quite as shiny as a lip gloss. I'd say it's more of a moisturizing finish. Application: The texture is on the firmer side, making it neither too stiff nor too soft - just right in the middle. It glides on smoothly without requiring much pressure, which is great. After application, it feels slightly tacky rather than purely moisturizing. Personally, I prefer products without any stickiness, but it's not bothersome enough to be a deal-breaker. You'll likely get used to it. There's no 'yogurt effect' (where product builds up in the corners of your mouth), and it seems to maintain its moisture quite well. As someone who talks a lot for work and wears a mask, I find that my lips don't get dry, and the color lasts impressively long. It applies smoothly even over dry patches without emphasizing dead skin cells. Ingredients: As a mom, I was specifically looking for a lip product without tar-based dyes, and surprisingly, this fits the bill! It's amazing how it achieves such a pretty color and decent staying power without those ingredients. I bought it for the good ingredients, and I'm very satisfied.
ConsI wish the packaging was a bit prettier. It feels a bit too plain and simple. A magnetic closure would have been more convenient too! While the ingredients are good enough to wear overnight without removing, personally, I still prefer to take it off. When I wake up after wearing it to sleep, my lips feel dry and flaky. I'd recommend just wearing it during the day.

I immediately bought the glossy version when it came out. Let me tell you the differences: 1. It doesn't wear off as quickly as the original. I like applying it thickly, usually 3-4 times, but with the glossy version, 1-2 applications are enough to make my lips feel smooth and hydrated. 2. The color is beautiful. It goes on naturally at first, not too intense, but you can build it up for a more vibrant look with multiple applications. 3. One of the original's strengths was that it wasn't too shiny, and the glossy version isn't overly shiny either. It's just perfect! Since using this product, I've even been able to wear matte lipsticks, which I could never do before! I think I'll just keep using this from now on. As we age and lips develop wrinkles, it's great that they're becoming healthier! (Last photo - Top: Original Muse, Bottom: Glossy Hera)
ConsIt's harder than expected, so it doesn't smudge easily, but if you accidentally smudge it once, it's impossible to fix. + Fixing tip: Fully retract the lip balm, then gently heat the outer metal part with a lighter. Be careful not to touch the plastic, and after it solidifies, slowly twist it out to use - it'll be clean again. The amount is a bit small, sadly. + When you've used it all, try separating the lip balm container. There's usually some left according to how much you've used, which you can push out with chopsticks or a cotton swab, put in a container, and melt in a double boiler to use. Then it's definitely not a small amount!
TipIt works well when applied with a long-lasting gel. The gel contains peptides, so when you apply the balm over it, your lips are stretched out and get a protective layer - it's like fully armored lips!
