The fragrance has a watery floral scent. I searched for a vanilla-scented perfume and came across the one I'm currently using, and while the base note includes vanilla, I don't really detect a strong vanilla aroma.
Cons
The fragrance can potentially cause nausea, so I tend not to apply it when using modes of transportation like cars. There is a noticeable alcohol note in the opening, but it dissipates quickly as it's a light fragrance. There is also a slight soapy undertone, but if you're looking for a more pronounced soapy scent, I'd strongly recommend the Freesia option as it has a non-nauseating soapy aroma.

Last spring, I went on a trip to Italy. During the 3 weeks I stayed there, I couldn't help but be captivated by the fragrance of the passing Italian women. It was the Santa Maria Novella fragrance. The first notes I detected were the sweet and cozy vanilla and musk, and the lingering finish had a refreshing citrus-like quality. It's both elegant and delightful.
