I was on the hunt for a product with vitamins and decided to try Dr. Different's CEQ Antioxidant Serum. It's packed with Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Coenzyme Q10, with a particularly high concentration of Vitamin C. The pH is just right, and it even contains tocopherol, so I was really impressed with the ingredients. The serum has a water-like consistency and a yellow hue. You only need about 3-5 drops applied to your entire face, and it absorbs surprisingly quickly! It leaves your face with a natural glow. My routine involves using a toner or pad to prep my skin, then applying the CEQ serum. After it's absorbed, I layer on either a hyaluronic acid serum or a propolis serum, finishing with a moisturizer. I've been using it only at night to avoid sun exposure, as it's a vitamin-based product. It pairs wonderfully with hyaluronic acid products to boost hydration. At first, I wasn't sure if I noticed any effects, but with consistent use, I saw a significant improvement in my overall complexion and skin texture. The dullness disappeared, and my skin became clear and bright, as if I naturally had good skin! While I bought it hoping it might fade my freckles (which I'm not sure it did), it definitely had a noticeable effect on my overall skin tone. My skin just... got better! At this level of effectiveness, I'd say it's worth every penny of the 35,000 won price tag.
It's so tiny and precious... When I first received it, I thought it was a sample size. While the size might be appropriate given how quickly vitamin products should be used up, it does make you wonder if the volume is too small for the price. Although I have sensitive skin, I didn't experience any irritation. However, if you find it stinging or irritating, I'd recommend adjusting the amount you use or mixing it with your regular skincare products to help your skin adapt. Be careful though - it really stings if you apply it to any cuts or wounds!
I highly recommend storing it in the refrigerator! This helps slow down oxidation. If the color changes slightly, that's okay, but if it turns a really bad color, don't use it! After applying, give your skin enough time to absorb it properly. I usually wait about 5-10 minutes. It works great when used with hyaluronic acid or propolis products! If you use it during the day, make sure to apply sunscreen. The Hwahae Testers swear by this routine for achieving that coveted Inner Glow!
