I've been interested in vegan cosmetics lately, so I've tested various products at the drugstore, but I couldn't find a product that I was completely satisfied with in terms of fragrance or application. Then I started using the Ooun Vegan Calming Serum and I'm still using it well:) My skin is very sensitive + prone to redness + blemishes + skin irritation, so I don't usually respond well to changes in skincare products... But I was constantly looking for a gentle, moisturizing, and brightening product to deal with my unsightly blemish marks. This product felt very moisturizing and soothing even when I applied it directly without using a toner, and I didn't experience any new breakouts, which made me realize how gentle it is.
Cons
The lasting hydration was a bit disappointing when I first applied it. My sensitive, reddened, oily skin tends to get very dry inside, so I usually only need one product in the summer that provides good lasting hydration. This product felt very moisturizing at first, but after a while, I could really feel the dryness setting in. Of course, it could be worse in the winter, so I plan to use this product again in the summer to see how it performs. For now, I have to apply a serum and then a moisturizing cream. Also, I'm not sure if it's the dropper that's faulty or if it's just the nature of this product, but the product I used didn't dispense well from the dropper - I had to press down on it for about 5 seconds to get the serum to come out.
Tip
At first, I applied this product first and then a moisturizing cream, but I found that mixing them together from the start works well too.
