1. Hydration
As an essence toner, it strikes a perfect balance between essence and toner, providing a nice moisturizing effect. However, those with dry skin might find it insufficient if used alone.
2. Scent
It has a mild, herbal fragrance. I'm usually sensitive to scents, but Real Barrier products have this aroma that makes you feel like your skin will improve. This product gives off a refreshing vibe when applied.
3. Soothing
It definitely seems to soothe the skin better than other toners. Unlike other hydrating toners that can feel oily and potentially cause acne, this one feels like it's purely adding moisture. It's soothing and makes my skin feel comfortable.
I've been loyal to this product for years now, and I simply can't use any other hydrating toner. There's no other toner that gives this unique feeling of purely adding moisture to the skin.
1. Deep Dryness
While it's moisturizing, it seems to focus more on surface hydration. That's why I use the Dokdo toner to address deep dryness, and then this product to tackle surface dryness.
2. Not for Solo Use
If you're using this as a toner, don't use it alone. Since it's an essence toner, it's not ideal for use with a cotton pad. Make sure to use a separate toner for that purpose.
3. Price and Volume
Compared to other toners, the volume seems smaller. The price might be okay, but please increase the volume! Other brands offer 200ml, but this is only 190ml... it's a bit disappointing.
After prepping your skin with Dokdo toner or another toner, applying this product will give you a fresh and moisturized base without any oiliness. Follow up with an emulsion or cream for a perfect skincare routine! Just remember not to apply too much, or your makeup might not sit well. Use just enough for your skin to absorb properly!
