My child is still young, and I've been using an all-in-one product to wash their hair. Now that I want to start using a separate shampoo, I was thrilled to discover Atopalm's kids shampoo. It's a 2-in-1 mildly acidic shampoo specially formulated for children's scalp and hair! The convenience of having shampoo and conditioner in one product is fantastic. I'm relieved that it's gentle on the eyes and scalp, causing minimal irritation. Plus, it's a healthy pH-balanced, mildly acidic shampoo that's perfect for children's skin, which gives me peace of mind. When I squeeze some shampoo into my child's hands and they rub it on their head, it lathers up beautifully with rich foam. The coconut-derived ingredients gently cleanse the impurities from my child's scalp, while argan oil and biotin provide nourishment. After rinsing and drying, I noticed their hair had a lovely bounce and shine that I hadn't seen before. And the fragrance is absolutely delightful! My child loves the subtle, sweet grape scent that lingers in their hair. While the fragrance is wonderful, it seems to be artificial, which is slightly disappointing. However, since it's used in small amounts, I'm not too concerned. - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 28, 2025
Cleansing effectiveness: It's on the milder side. Compared to the Atopam Pregnancy Shampoo I was using before, this one has less cleansing power. It seems suitable for children under 6 years old. Scent: Initially, it smells like bubblegum, which made me think 'Oh, kids will love this!' However, as I continued using it, I found the scent less appealing. I wish it had a lighter fragrance or a different scent altogether. When I wash my first-grade daughter's hair, I give her a scalp massage for about 2 minutes before rinsing. After drying, there's a mix of scalp and shampoo scents. Unfortunately, these two don't blend well, resulting in an unpleasant aroma. I didn't like the artificial fragrance, which is quite different from Atopam's usual products. However, if you enjoy sweet and tangy scents, you might like this. Conditioning effect: This deserves praise. When I brush my child's hair after washing and drying, I notice that it starts tangling much further down compared to other shampoos. The amount of tangling is also reduced by about two-thirds. I think it lives up to its 2-in-1 name with its effective conditioning properties. Overall impression: I've used many Atopam products including body wash, shampoo, cream, and emulsion, but this product doesn't feel like typical Atopam. It's disappointing. This is basically a 'shampoo with a scent kids might like.' If they decide to reformulate, I hope they reconsider the fragrance and improve the cleansing power. The fragrance feels too artificial, which was disappointing. Also, if they had specified a more concrete age range, they could have adjusted the cleansing power accordingly. I thought it would be suitable for elementary school children since it's a 'kids' shampoo, but the cleansing power was too weak. When doing a double shampoo, I use a different shampoo with better cleansing power for the first wash, and then use this shampoo for the second wash, treating it like a shampoo with added conditioner. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 22, 2025
As I always try products my child uses, this review is based on my personal experience. 1. Ingredients (excluding fragrance): - Contains only gentle ingredients - Free from 10 harmful substances - Slightly acidic pH shampoo 2. User experience and cleansing effectiveness: - Scalp doesn't feel dry after washing, maintains hydration - No scalp itchiness - Extremely soft lather - Seems to remove impurities effectively 3. 2-in-1 formula: - Contains conditioning agents, making hair soft during rinsing - No stiffness after washing Everything else is great, but the fragrance... While it's free from 10 harmful substances, it still contains fragrance. Not sure if it's a high concentration of artificial fragrance or just very concentrated, but the artificial grape scent is quite strong. Although kids who sweat a lot might need scented shampoo, it can be overwhelming for those sensitive to fragrances. My child mentioned that the grape scent would be fine if it weren't so strong. - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 18, 2025
The product has a transparent color with a consistency that's not too heavy but flows nicely. First off, I love that it comes in a generous size, which means I don't have to repurchase as often. While most kids' products on the market are around 200-300ml, this one is a whopping 460ml - nearly double the size! That means less frequent shopping trips and more long-term use. Secondly, as a 2-in-1 product, it's great for girls with long hair as it prevents tangling without needing a separate conditioner. When using it, it lathers well and feels gentle on the hair. While I didn't notice an immediate softness like you'd get from a conditioner or treatment right after washing, the real magic happened the next morning. When I went to brush my daughter's hair, it glided through so smoothly - a stark contrast to our usual morning struggles. No more cries of pain during hair brushing! Lastly, it cleanses effectively, which helps prevent any unwanted hair odors. This is particularly important as we approach the sweatier seasons. Unlike Atopalm's usual products, this one surprisingly has quite a strong scent. My child describes it as candy-like, but to me, it's more like a cherry-berry chewing gum fragrance. While my little one enjoys it, I find it a bit artificial, which is disappointing. I expected Atopalm to be fragrance-free or have a very subtle scent. I'd recommend this for children who are just starting to bathe or shower independently. The pump dispenses a consistent amount, and being a 2-in-1 product makes it convenient to use. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinOct 21, 2024
My son tends to run hot naturally, and with his active lifestyle and daily exercise routine, he sweats quite a bit. We've been using an all-in-one shampoo and body wash suitable for newborns for quite some time to minimize chemical irritation. However, this year's particularly long and hot summer made me realize we needed a separate kids' shampoo. What caught my eye about this product is that it's a 2-in-1 kids' shampoo - not a body wash combo, but a shampoo and conditioner in one. It's actually perfect to start using now, as hair tends to get dry in colder seasons, and it's honestly a bit of a hassle to use a separate conditioner for kids. The clear formula produces a moderate amount of lather - not excessive, but just right. While some people prefer products that foam up a lot, I find those incredibly difficult to rinse out. I'm not a fan of products that leave a sticky residue no matter how well you rinse, but this one strikes a good balance - it lathers well without going overboard, and doesn't leave much residue behind, which I really appreciate. In terms of texture and how it feels after rinsing, this is actually the most satisfying kids' shampoo I've tried so far. The only downside for me was the fragrance. It's grape-scented, which kids might love, but as someone sensitive to scents, it struck me as overly artificial and sweet. It's reminiscent of grape-flavored candy or bubblegum - that kind of synthetic aroma that I personally find a bit overwhelming. The product itself is really great, but I'm slightly concerned about whether I'll be able to use it consistently due to the scent. If you're sensitive to fragrances, this could potentially be a drawback for you as well. The formula lathers up nicely, so for a child with short hair, one pump is enough if you work up a lather in your palms first. While most children's shampoos come in 300ml bottles, this one is a generous 460ml, which means it should last quite a while. - Hwahae UserOily SkinOct 21, 2024
For my elementary schooler with bleached hair and my preschooler with baby-fine, static-prone locks, both need treatment or their hair becomes unbrushable. I was excited to try this 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner. The texture is a thin gel with a sweet and tangy bubblegum scent that lingers until bedtime. After using it consistently for a few days: While not as softening as a separate treatment, it's sufficient. Both kids' hair, even the bleached hair, is manageable without additional products. Hair doesn't get greasy overnight, and it doesn't mat unless they sweat excessively. My kids used to get itchy scalps with adult shampoos, but this doesn't irritate them. It cleanses well without leaving residue when dry. The locking cap is a game-changer! Love that Atopalm's emulsion, bath products, and shampoo all have this feature. The scent is a bit ambiguous - sweet and tangy like bubblegum, but also floral? The strong tartness might be polarizing. Personally, I'm not a fan. It's more sour than sweet. I deducted one star because of the fragrance. The travel-friendly lock is fantastic - just twist the top for a secure seal. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinOct 16, 2024
It lathers better than the Top-to-Toe wash, but not as much as the adult yeast shampoo. The washing experience feels incredibly soft and smooth. Being a low pH product, it doesn't leave your skin feeling tight. Even though it's a 2-in-1, it's great that you don't need conditioner - even kids with long hair can brush easily. Atopalm is a brand I trust, so there's not much else to say. It's simply an essential for childcare. Oh, and I almost forgot! The kids didn't complain about it stinging their eyes. The main reason I've been using Atopalm products for nearly a decade is their fragrance-free formula. I love that there's no scent pollution. So I was quite surprised that this product has a slight scent - it's like bubblegum or artificial fruit. It was unexpected. However, my child actually likes it. They say it smells nice. I guess kids have different preferences! It's perfect for when kids start getting a bit grubby, but before they develop that real oily skin. I'd say it's ideal from when they become more active until early elementary school years. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 15, 2024
A short pump produces rich lather with great cleansing effectiveness. It rinses easily and doesn't leave hair feeling squeaky clean, so it doesn't tangle much. To me, it smells like honey, but my 6-year-old says it's like grape ice cream and loves it. The artificial scent seems a bit strong during washing. However, once the hair dries, the fragrance isn't very noticeable. While the hair doesn't tangle much, I'll be keeping an eye out for static electricity when the drier seasons come! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 14, 2024
#Convenient pump dispenser #Optimized for children's use as it cleanses and conditions the scalp in one step #Mild acidic pH shampoo for delicate children's skin #Completed non-irritation alternative tests to minimize eye and scalp irritation #Free from 10 harmful skin ingredients #Effectively controls scalp odor and reduces tangling It has a bubblegum scent, which personally I find a bit artificial. I'd prefer if it were less intense. (For reference, like most products, the lingering scent after use is subtle and not overpowering) Currently on sale in a 1+1 deal at a reasonable price, so I recommend this over buying a single bottle - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 18, 2024
I'm raising a 21-month-old girl who's been using Atopalm Top-to-Toe Wash from head to toe! (She has mild atopic skin) Since my baby's skin is super sensitive, I can't just switch products carelessly. But I noticed her hair was starting to smell... So I tried the Atopalm Kids Fresh 2-in-1 Shampoo, and wow, her hair definitely smells great now! The lather is also really nice~ Her hair feels so much softer too. I can really feel the difference when drying and tying it up! I trust Atopalm products, so I use this with peace of mind. It seems gentle even if it gets in her eyes! Once when she was playing around, she accidentally got some foam in her eyes, but she didn't seem bothered at all! I guess it's because it's a baby product, so it's really gentle. The scent might be hit or miss! Dad doesn't like it, but Mom loves it~ It's kind of a citrusy scent? Or maybe honey? It's sweet yet fresh! Being a 2-in-1 product, it works as a conditioner too, so we're done in one go!
