ConsIf you don't control the amount properly, it can occasionally pill like dead skin. I noticed this happens more often for me in summer.

It's quite rich! While it doesn't instantly create a flawless skin texture by filling in pores, you can definitely feel your skin becoming smoother! After applying foundation and completing your makeup, you'll notice that the staying power is much better than when you don't use this product!
ConsIf you apply just a bit too much, it can pill up like dead skin cells and make your makeup slide off.. The product itself feels a bit too rich? It doesn't provide full coverage!
TipSqueeze out a small amount and apply it in circular motions, as if you're rolling it onto your skin.

It's absolutely fantastic for concealing pores. While the price might seem steep, you only need to use a tiny amount, so it's actually quite cost-effective. It does an excellent job of covering blackheads on my nose, which makes my makeup application flawless. On days when my skin isn't dry, I use this as my only primer, and it works perfectly!
ConsIf you apply too much, it can pill like dead skin cells. Don't apply a thick layer of cream underneath if your skin feels dry, as it won't work well.
TipJust be careful with the amount you use - a little goes a long way!

It does an excellent job of filling in pores, and there's definitely a reason why it's so popular.
ConsIf you don't control the amount well, it can pill like dead skin cells... But that's my fault for not getting the quantity right.

There's a reason it's so popular! It's incredibly effective at blurring pores without making them stand out. Imagine it's filling in the tiny holes on an orange peel - that's exactly what it does for your skin. And it doesn't leave your skin feeling overly dry. The texture is similar to melted silicone. Plus, it's fantastic at controlling oil. It's absolutely top-notch for minimizing pores and managing oiliness.
ConsHowever, it might not play well with overly rich skincare products. It can pill, almost like dead skin cells. So avoid using it with those types of products. Other than that, it's great! Just keep in mind that it does seal your pores, so thorough cleansing is a must. When you're not aiming for an oil-free look like in summer, use only a tiny amount. I wouldn't recommend it for all-night wear or makeup lasting over 12 hours. It really prevents your pores from breathing, which shows how effective it is.
TipFor a glowing makeup look, use just a minuscule amount. Even in winter, apply no more than a pinhead-sized drop. Focus on areas where pores are most noticeable, like the nose and front of the cheeks. The amount needed to cover these areas should be smaller than your pinky nail!

Before discovering Benefit's primer, I had tried countless others without much success in concealing pores. When I finally decided to invest in Benefit's The POREfessional, I was amazed at how it instantly filled in my pores! I was skeptical at first about whether it would be worth the price, but it truly delivers. It's so good that I started using it almost daily, and my pores seemed to disappear. One day, I decided to skip it, and oh boy... I realized I couldn't go without it anymore. Benefit is definitely the king of primers! Longevity: As mentioned, my T-zone gets very oily, which usually affects the staying power of my makeup, especially around the nose. However, with Benefit's primer, the longevity improves significantly, reducing the need for touch-ups throughout the day. Volume/Price: Before purchasing, I was hesitant due to the high price. But after buying it, I realized the volume is quite generous for the price, and since you only need a small amount each time, it lasts quite long. Plus, you can often find it at duty-free shops or online at discounted prices, making it more accessible.
ConsThe main drawback, as mentioned earlier, is the high price point. However, this isn't a major issue since you can often find it at discounted prices in duty-free shops or online. Also, being a primer, if you apply too much or too thickly, it can pill or ball up like dead skin cells. It's crucial to apply primers in very thin layers. I've included some application tips below for reference.
TipI mainly apply it on my nose and the areas with large pores around it. Instead of applying directly with fingers, using a tool can help achieve a cleaner and thinner application. I learned this trick from YouTube: use a spatula to apply the primer from bottom to top over the pores for an even, thin layer. If you don't have a spatula, breaking a wooden cotton swab works just as well. I use this method when traveling or in a hurry.

This product alone isn't quite enough to conceal my pores. However, when I layer it with another primer that has a more coating-like finish, the results are a bit better. It doesn't have any major standout features though.
ConsI have super sensitive skin, and every time I use Porefessional, I end up with blemishes. It really seems to clog my pores. It's barely effective on very large pores, yet it's so expensive that I probably won't repurchase it. I'm also disappointed that it pills like dead skin cells.

The finish is silky and matte, making it perfect as an eye primer too.
ConsI didn't see any effect on covering enlarged pores or uneven texture. I tried applying it in circular motions with my fingers and even used a spatula to spread it evenly, but my pores were still visible. What's worse, if you apply too much, it starts pilling like dead skin cells.
TipI paid a premium for this, but since I couldn't use it effectively for its intended purpose, I'm now using it as an eye primer.

ConsSometimes it pills like dead skin cells... I think I need to exfoliate my face before applying it.

It covers pores well, except for the deeper ones. The application is smooth and it absorbs well.
ConsThis product seems to be quite particular about what it pairs with. Depending on your skincare or foundation, it can tend to pill. It takes a bit of time to set on the skin.
