  Pros

  It feels great for light application in spring, summer, and fall. When used as part of skincare before makeup, it absorbs well without pilling or caking. It might feel a bit dry in fall to winter, but I found adding an emulsion on top made it just right. I'm now on my third bottle. I've been using it since before the reformulation, and it's still good after the changes.

  Cons

  I wouldn't really recommend this for those with very dry skin. I'd only suggest it for people with oily skin, combination skin with an oily T-zone, or those looking for a light skincare step before makeup that won't cause pilling.

  Pros

  I've been using this product for several bottles now! With my combination-dry skin, I prefer products that are deeply hydrating, and I tend to avoid those that are too oily or slow to absorb. After struggling to find the perfect emulsion, I discovered this product 1-2 years ago and haven't looked back! It's a gel-type cream that I use in place of an emulsion. It has almost no oily feel and absorbs well, leaving my skin feeling moisturized and great! As someone with combination-dry skin, I apply this product twice during the emulsion step, and it seems to effectively combat deep dryness. The product is also gentle, so I recommend it for both dry and oily skin types.

  Cons

  There aren't any real downsides. Perhaps the only minor drawback is that because it's a gel cream, it gets used up quickly. But even that's okay since the price is reasonable!

  Tip

  I sometimes keep it in the refrigerator and use it like a soothing gel! After chilling, I apply a thin layer to my face, then place a sheet mask over it for 10-15 minutes. It leaves my skin feeling incredibly hydrated. Also, since it's a gel-type cream, it might feel a bit insufficient on its own during winter. At bedtime, I recommend layering another cream on top of this product for extra moisture!

It seems to fully absorb after about 30 seconds of patting Moisturizing power: 🫧🫧🫧🫧 Feels like 75% hydration + 25% oil (For reference, I consider a water toner 100% hydration and an ultra-rich nourishing cream 99% oil) As someone who enjoys a more rich skincare routine, I use a 4-step process (toner, essence, hydrating cream, oil-based cream). I was looking for a hydrating cream full of moisture to use as my 3rd step, and I found this on sale at Olive Young. To be honest, it wasn't a brand I was expecting much from... but it's better than I thought, so I'm leaving a review. I've been using this watery gel cream as my 3rd step for about 5 months now, on my second tube. Recommended skin types: Oily > Combination dehydrated > Sensitive > Dry > Very dry Since it's not too rich, I'd recommend those with dry skin to layer another oil-based cream on top. Dry skin types will feel a pleasant, soft finish. Even those with sensitive skin can use this without worry. Overall: Why aren't there more reviews? It's good and affordable. Just try it - it's a hydrating, watery gel cream.
