Although it's a gel type, the foam becomes softer as you massage it. I found that creating more lather in your hands before cleansing helps minimize irritation even further.

It does lack cleansing power for full makeup removal. Double cleansing is absolutely necessary, so I wouldn't recommend it for those who wear heavy makeup frequently.

Due to my blemish-prone skin, I need to cleanse well, but products with strong cleansing power often dry out my skin and cause irritation. On the other hand, when I buy gentle, low pH products, they lack cleansing power. This product, however, seems to have the best of both worlds - it's my holy grail cleanser!

First off, the ingredients are fantastic. The plant-based surfactants likely contribute to its non-irritating nature. Despite this, it produces rich lather even with a small amount, giving a thorough cleansing feel without being too drying or slippery.

The biggest advantage is its combination of gentleness and cleansing effectiveness. The pump format also makes it convenient to use. After cleansing, I noticed reduced redness and less deep dryness.

Overall experience is fantastic. When you mix it with water in your hands, it creates a rich, abundant lather. The foam is dense and creamy, making cleansing gentle on the skin. It's so pleasant to use that I find myself reaching for it more often than other cleansers, both morning and night.

After use, my skin feels soft, hydrated, and smooth. There's no dryness, and my skin retains moisture, so I don't worry about deep dryness. (However, I still quickly apply my skincare routine after, as I absolutely hate any hint of dryness!)

Unlike some foam cleansers that can be harsh and drying, the Baseskin foam cleanser satisfies in terms of cleansing effectiveness, hydration, and gentleness.

I appreciate that it's a low pH cleanser, which helps protect the skin barrier while cleansing. The ingredients are also great, so I plan to continue using it long-term.

It's extremely drying. I thought it wouldn't be since it's a gel, so I opened it in autumn and saved it for summer use. Oh my, it's even too drying for summer! I was deceived by the fact it's a gel.
