I had high hopes after hearing about its reputation for creating a dewy and beautiful complexion. While it didn't work for me, it was a holy grail product for my friend with oily skin!

Rather than giving a pretty glow, it just looked oily... that was disappointing

Although I have dry skin, I usually prefer a semi-matte finish. However, I wanted something for winter use, and now that I'm in my 30s, I've noticed a dewy face looks more attractive. So I tried this from the beginning.

Now, many people praise it as a holy grail hydrating cushion and always recommend it, but honestly... I wonder if it's really that great? I'm on my second refill, but if asked to buy it again... I'm not so sure.

It does make the skin look pretty, but I don't think the shade matches me well (even 23 seems to be on the lighter side).

No matter how easy it is to touch up, all cushions seem to perform equally poorly against sweat. Once you sweat and wipe it off, it just doesn't stay on unless you remove it during touch-ups.

If you're looking for a light-colored cushion that gives a dewy, hydrated look to your skin, I would still recommend this one!

1. Product always settles into the creases around my nose over time (even with primer).
2. When it starts to break down, it doesn't do so gracefully - certain areas tend to clump together.
3. Being a hydrating cushion, it's prone to leaving fingerprints and attracting dust (in areas without powder).
4. If you don't set areas other than your cheeks with powder, it's very annoying as hair tends to stick to the product.

If you think you've finished it or notice very little product coming out on the puff, try using tweezers to flip the mesh over. You'll find a moist layer of foundation. I thought I needed to buy a new one, but I'm still using it... haha!

The amount is quite small... I'm almost out of it even though I don't wear heavy makeup.

As I'm not very skilled at applying makeup, I struggle with products that go on too thick. This one, however, applies smoothly and looks natural, which I love. I read somewhere that the more you pat it in, the more natural glow it gives - there might be some truth to that. I sweat a lot, so I probably can't use it in summer, but it works great in dry winter weather! As long as I cleanse properly, it doesn't cause any blemishes. I was surprised to see so many ingredients listed on Hwahae though!

Recommended if you want a natural glow.

A word of caution - it can pill if you layer too many skincare products underneath. That's to be expected though.

Also, if you build up too many layers, it can look a bit heavy. I recommend using less product and building up gradually for the best results.

Applying no-sebum powder right after the cushion definitely helps control the oiliness! Make sure to use no-sebum powder immediately after applying the cushion!

First off, the coverage! Honestly, I used this cushion more for evening out my skin tone rather than concealing blemishes! With so many high-coverage cushions available these days, I found the coverage a bit disappointing. The staying power isn't particularly impressive compared to other cushions either. I'm usually out for long periods, but when I get home, it's almost completely gone. And for those with extremely oily skin like mine, you might notice your face getting shiny just 20 minutes after application!

The most impressive thing was how transparently it applies! My skin is oily, so I never thought I'd try a glass-type finish, but if you have oily skin and want to experiment with a glass look, you'll probably love this cushion! Also, my skin is prone to blemishes, but even after wearing this makeup for over 10 hours outside, I never felt like my skin was breaking out badly. It's like you can feel how gentle it is on your body.
