ConsI'm not sure if it helps with deep dryness, and I can feel excess oil on the surface. Even when applying small amounts, I notice these issues, which makes me reluctant to use it. As a first essence, it's meant to be applied at the beginning, but it feels like it creates a coating that might prevent subsequent products from absorbing well. It might be better to use a different serum for deep hydration instead.

The color is transparent with a brownish tint. Scent: It smells like a dermatological product, if that makes sense? It seems to be the raw scent of the ingredients without any additives. Personally, I quite like this fragrance. Ingredients: I was pleased to see it's formulated with beneficial ingredients that are directly applicable to the skin. Personally, when I apply skincare to my face, I judge its gentleness based on how it feels if it accidentally gets in my eyes. If it stings, I consider the product irritating; if it doesn't, I deem it mild. The Thepai essence didn't sting my eyes at all, so I thought, 'Ah, this must be a gentle product!'
ConsApplication: The instructions say to use it right after cleansing, so I tried using it like a first essence. However, it felt like it was just sitting on top of my skin. It didn't seem to penetrate deeply, but rather felt like it was gently wrapping the surface with a nourishing layer. While it didn't cause any deep dryness, I still felt a bit uneasy because it didn't seem to absorb fully. So, I ended up using my regular toner first and then applying this as a final step. That seemed to make my skin feel more comfortable. I've listed the apparent lack of deep absorption as a downside.
TipFor best results, try using your regular toner or first essence, then apply this product as a final step. It creates a comfortable, moisturizing barrier that feels like it's sealing in hydration.
